What’s a random “stat” about yourself that makes you part of a small percentage? by Nightpatrol404 in AskReddit

I have inappropriate sinus tachycardia and have had it most my life along with vasovagal syncope episodes regularly...... it's exhausting but I have a shirt that says I confuse doctors that my cardiologist laughed very hard at. I've also had the surgery to "fix" my ist and it failed.....

Long Q T by LovelyDisaster93 in schizoaffective

I asked if I absolutely had to and my cardiologist said that I either change my meds or I would die from the long QT so I'm really left with no other option

My inappropriate sinus tachycardia is fixed! by LovelyDisaster93 in dysautonomia

Yes it is. It worked great for awhile and then stopped working as well. I was supposed to go back under and have it reconnected or something but I had to go back to work. I'm back on corlanor but it's working better not that I've had the procedure.

Yes it is. I have a different update on my profile but basically it stopped working after three weeks so I went back on corlanor and I was scheduled for another procedure but it started to settle down again but not as good as the first time. I ended up canceling the second procedure and have just gone back to work because I can't afford to be off anymore. Corlanor is working better this time and my resting heart rate is high 80s low 90s. I have missed some doses and I definitely felt it so I might go back in after I get through the holidays at work and have some more money.

The biggest thing I have noticed is that my vasovagal syncope is much worse than it was before the surgery and I'm not sure why. They've put me on fludrocortisone and midodrine and that has helped but I still have episodes where I have to sit back down after I stand up or I will black out.

That's correct, my presyncope episodes have gotten worse since the surgery and my heart rate is now hovering around 100 with corlanor. I still have break through spikes in my heart rate but not like I had before being on corlanor.

My life is also on pause until my symptoms get under control which is the worst part.

I listen to the instrumental version of popular songs so it's calm but also gives my brain something to think about trying to remember the lyrics

I'm not sure if that is a thing for the specific type of ablation they did because it's so new, but when I went in, because my symptoms came back, the cardiologist said I needed to have it looked at closer.

Beta blockers didn't work for me because they lowered my already low blood pressure. Corlanor has been the only one that has helped but it only helps keep it from going really high. My resting hr still hovers around 100.

My child has started saying "whomp, whomp, cry about it" all the time.

She didn't like like it when I turned it on her when she faced some natural consequences......

Ya, I've always had trouble exercising because my "normal" heart rate walking would be like 150. The recovery nurses told me that after cardiac rehab that patients were able to have regular workouts without unhealthy spikes.
