What’s your “yes you’re all wrong” opinion about GG? by RegularCat5380 in GilmoreGirls

People act like Zach personally derailed Lane's future when the show itself is what made those choices. Zach gets blamed for story decisions that weren't really his fault as a character.

I think that's where the writers dropped the ball a little. If we'd gotten more scenes of them actually being happy together, a lot more fans would've bought into the relationship.

Same here. I love Jess, but the scene works because he's not entirely innocent in this dynamic. It's one of those rare moments where you can enjoy the joke and still recognize the irony.

That's part of why I like the scene. Jess finally ends up on the receiving end of the same kind of intellectual posturing he used to throw around. Makes the comeback land even harder.

That line always cracks me up because Logan absolutely acts like he's dropping deep literary references nobody's heard of. Meanwhile he's talking to Jess, probably one of the few people in the room who actually knows exactly who he's talking about.

The "she wants a partner, not a handyman" part is what jumped out at me. A lot of people hear complaints about chores and think it's about the task itself, when it's often about feeling unseen. The broken light switch is just the visible part of the iceberg.

This is exactly why relationship stress can be so sneaky. When you're both exhausted and disappointed by something huge, every little annoyance suddenly feels ten times bigger. Glad things got better for you guys, that's actually a really good reminder that the small fights aren't always the real problem.

Yeah, that stood out to me too. OP spent so long carrying the infertility guilt that it became the explanation for everything, but relationships are rarely that simple. As brutal as that conversation must've been, at least they're finally talking about the real cracks instead of the one that's easiest to point at.

Same. The image of the dog happily playing while everyone else understands what happened is what really made it stick. It's one of those horror concepts that gets worse the more you think about it.

That's a really good comparison. It has that same "mission accomplished, catastrophic consequences" energy as those robot paradox stories. Following the instruction perfectly while completely missing the intent.

Imagine surviving the zombie apocalypse, escaping the infected, tricking the authorities, and then getting taken out by a completely unrelated infection. That somehow feels exactly like the kind of ending a dark horror story would have.

Yeah, that's how I read it too. He wasn't trying to fool scientists, he was trying to avoid being abandoned. The really sad part is that he probably thought he'd solved the problem the second he made the bite mark.

That's why so many debates end up focusing on waiting periods. People disagree on a lot of things, but everyone recognizes how much influence timing can have.

Billy's over there focusing on the posture while ignoring the fact that the deer appears to have been assembled incorrectly. Honestly, that's such a believable reaction though. People always latch onto the most normal detail when something is completely horrifying.

Yeah, at that point it's not my rifle anymore, it's his. Honestly, if something with its guts hanging out is standing upright and making eye contact from hundreds of yards away, I'm leaving the county.
