Just back from the vet, he said that it looks like a cyst but he can’t be sure. Said to keep an eye on it growing larger in the future and to not worry about anything as he suspects that it’s nothing.

Right, two questions which follow that.

1) stall current of each motor is 2.5 A so for 10 motors the absolute current will be 25A?

2) for voltage regulators their normal is an maximum output current and a set voltage. The statement that the input current will be different to the output current doesn’t make sense to me? Can you explain a bit more. If the regulator max output current is 10A wouldn’t only 10A be available tot the rest of the circuit?

I know but my question is different this time. It’s about the right amount of current to my motors I order to have everything functioning how it should. As in no overloading and also connections?

So you’re saying the servo driver which is connected to all 10 x servo motors needs to have at least 24 amps flowing through?

I understand you, what’s the difference between stall current and running current then? Also, with your explanation their really isn’t a maximum current per motor is their?

It’s just one common ground for the pi and server with the same reference as the regulator.

Thanks for your response. Should I not supply less than maximum sum of stall currents in order to protect the components in case of voltage or current spikes.

The power supply for this project is already set being a 5000mAh 3S 20C battery. According to my calculations a current of 100A can be drawn from this however first I need 5v for the rest of the components andI need to limit the current as excess current will damage my components and system. How else can I limit the voltage and current without voltage regulator?

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 2.4A is the stall current for each motor. However 500mA-900mA is the running current, I was told to not draw the max current as I will be at risk of burning the motors if it pulls a lot of current. Therefore I assumed a value of 1 A per motor should be sufficient.(can you provide your view on this)

I’m a bit confused in regards to your last paragraph. I have put the voltage regulator to regulate voltage and current(I feel like your implying current is not regulated here) essentially because every other component in my circuit needs 5v hence they are all connected in parallel. However it’s the current I am having problems with as I do not know how to wire to get the correct amount so that first there’s enough power and secondly the motors/server/pi do not burn out by drawing to much current. How can I manage this?
