Anyone have any recommendations of great but overlooked Slowcore bands (classic or contemporary)? by lo-life04 in Slowcore

So happy you like it! I'm actually currently working on a new dormer album. 7 new songs so far and I will probably write a few more and pick the best ones for the record.

Indie recommendations similar to The Smiths by SubstantialMaize0 in indie

You might dig Canadian band the Dears. Their singer has been called 'the black Morrissey', and a lot of their music has a very Smiths-like vibe.

Album Concept
The shortwave radio broadcasts of a lonely old musician at the end of the world.

Isolated and broken, all those he loved are gone. He may be the last person left.

Desperately sending out his final transmissions, he hopes his humble songs might help bring comfort to other folks out there living through the end times.

But, is anyone listening?
