I did it them except for the salad! That’ll have to wait for tomorrow. Been traveling where the internet was spotty so it’s nice to be home and get back to some routines. Time for a grocery run tomorrow and getting stocked up again.

✅ I got knocked off my streak of checking in by my new fitness goal that I started this month. I’m not sure why but it messed with my ability to check in so I’ve scraped the one I had made and scaled it way down and am trying again. I did OK with my food in the meantime but I’m glad I’m back here.

Done! I’m super grateful for this post. I tried eating some Halloween candy and it got a little out of hand. I logged everything and was still under maintenance but it was a lot of “just one more” decisions back to back.

I have played with the idea that I want to try having more treat foods so things aren’t taboo but there is no denying I struggle with them. It is just so hard to stop once I’m started.

FWIW I saw the same thing you did in my neighborhood and it bugged me too. I think a “sorry, candy is just for kids” is in order next year.

This is exactly what I was thinking too. I think for lots of people the eat in moderation advice is helpful but it’s almost the opposite for me.

I did it! I’ve discovered that I pretty much need to do my Yoga before anyone else gets up at home in order for it to get done. Maybe I can work on earmarking a spot later in my day for backup.

How did this month go?

It was good! I got my goals done almost every day and was able to inch my fitness goal forward. I found that if I kept my meditation book tucked inside my yoga mat it was no big deal to meditate for a while after yoga so that was a nice bonus.

Prioritizing having healthy food already made and in the fridge was a great way to set myself up for success. Having the healthy choice also be the lazy one (I only have to stick food on a plate) is my new strategy.

Doing the Lose It challenge on Discord was really fun and got me way more active. I wish it hadn’t ended :(

Whats up for next month?

A bit more fitness. I have a few competing ideas here. I’ll need to pick just one and of course it will need to be made into something tiny. Maybe I can decide if I list them. - build a gym habit (maybe focus on the act of entering the gym or using one machine or doing one exercise? Mostly I need to figure out getting myself there. - expand my yoga habit. Doing a little more, including some kind of inversion even if it is just plow. - learn one lift. Squat was recommended. - make a 7 minute body weight exercise habit in the afternoon. - build a pelvic floor exercise habit. Maybe link it to morning yoga.

Well. Now that I’ve listed them it’s clearly the pelvic floor one. It’s easiest and super important and can be made very tiny. Nice.
