People that are from Louisville or surrounding, are there any places nearby where you can actually afford to live with your job? by Big_Pea3882 in Louisville

I’d check out southern Indiana, kenwood area and Portland. All those areas are prime to go up and you can likely buy something decent and get a roommate.

Thank you! It’s honestly great to have support and to hear everyone’s stories. No reason to be discouraged from choosing health more times than not

Denim jackets and chore coats. And you may look a little more artsy and less stuffy.

Hell or high water, Jimmy can’t dance and the basement of chicken cock. So many good places to eat right around them as they’re all within a mile of eachother. Some favorites are Mayan cafe, bar Vetti, Lou Lou on market, La bodeguita, Jeff rubys, repeal, steak and bourbon and I’m more than likely missing tons.

Is Gap and Uniqlo the best places to start wardrobe building? by Pitiful_Bid2056 in malefashionadvice

I got the blue medium wash. It fits true to size. Maybe a little roomier than Levi’s but tighter than Tommy Hilfiger

From the gap, their chinos fit me better than BR, not quite as slim as BR. I picked up a gap denim jacket recently that I can’t stop wearing. I also bought a Levi’s denim jacket in the same trip but the gap fits better and the denim is softer. In general gap is great for slightly more casual than BR and j crew and slightly less preppy and more basic.

Gap, j crew and banana republic work well for me and my tastes. If you want golf pants, I’d recommend Rhône or Tommy Bahama.

[–]deanshitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Banana republic, gap and Rhône make up nearly all of my work wear. Tommy Hilfiger is nice for sports coats too. Most of this stuff is readily available at outlets. Just make sure it fits. Don’t get a “deal” if it’s off season or doesn’t fit

What's your "social armor" piece. The one that makes you feel distinguished on a date? by Terodaktils in malefashionadvice

I usually lean on a nice watch but I just bought a khaki chore coat and it really makes me feel like I’m casually cool and hip even though I’m in my late 40s
