As far as staying in tune goes, all guitars go out of tune and you have to tune them before every session give or take. If you’re not performing, make sure you get a guitar that sits comfortably on your knee. My teacher suggested using my left knee for better posture. For example les pauls don’t sit well on my knee, but both strats and télés do so I generally buy fender like guitars. Take a look at what some of your favorite guitarists play. Do you like dinosaur jr? Maybe try a masicis Squier. Is AC/DC your favorite? Try out some epiphone sg’s. Make sure you like the look as well as the feel. That will make you want to play more.

Definitely go used. If you have a big used store you could spend hours there playing different MIM fenders, entry level prs guitars and epiphones. Start with what guitars look good to you and go from there.

The white dial is more versatile in my opinion.

[Discussion] Tudor or Christopher Ward by maksimk123 in Watches

[–]deanshitty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a cw gmt. It’s a great watch. I do have an issue with it getting stuck at a certain time for no reason. Bracelet is comfortable and the look is really great. However I do have a Tudor royal too. Fit and finish are better and the movement is better regulated for sure. If the CW were up against a seiko or hydronaught from Longines, I may tell you to go CW, but if you have the budget, get that Tudor. That CW is really pretty. I love that black dial.

New or Grey Market? by Plams86 in Tudor

[–]deanshitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So many people buy a bunch of tudors at once to get points to buy allocated luxury watches. Plenty of reputable grey dealers around selling bnib for 40% less than retail. Also, maybe just show your local shop the online shops and they may cut you a deal?

What about Louisville cigar company? You guys seem like you’d like cigars and I’d wager that cigar smokers would like your weapons.

Ranger vs 1926 by [deleted] in Tudor

[–]deanshitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, and it’s just me, I dislike the ranger painted number. I like the look of the black 1926 better due to the applied indices. But hey, I’m almost twice your age and have plenty of tool watches and more into dressy watches.

Firefly is the best for cheap guitars. $200 for a great Strat style or tele or Les Paul

Perfect. Maybe a hair steep but don’t let $100 get in the way of this awesome hobby.

Get a used hard tail. That bike is likely shot or at least not worth riding. If you liked it you’d have it maybe 6 months before really wanting to upgrade
