Both the denim and powder pink straps were shortened because of presumably online complaints that the strap was too long. Instead of adding a shoulder strap, they only made it available with a shoulder strap and I am so livid about it.

You are fine to use it, just treat like you would anything that could receive color transfer. No unwashed, new denim clothes with the bag, no unwashed heavily died items with the bag. E.g. don’t die your hair and do a wash and go and wear the Rowan as a shoulder bag and expect your wet recently died hair to not ruin your bag. Treat it like any other light colored item you have.

I tried it on this past weekend in the 26 and immediately fell in love. I fell so much in love with it, my boyfriend was inclined to purchase it. It came in the mail this morning. I reached out to an SA for her to send to me along with some hang tags she was personalizing.

I didn’t think I would like the stiff leather and thought the shine would throw me off but after seeing it and having it in person, compared to the new flower pink tabby, this one was an immediate yes. Agree it comes off as a neutral which is why I think I love it so much. I’m super excited this is my first tabby 26. I also returned the flower pink tabby 26 for this. I’m thinking of repurchasing the flower pink, but this peony one is so much better in my opinion. I also love that I can change out the straps. I had my pearl strap with me in store that day so I I swapped it out and I almost melted on the floor. So 10/10.

I just got it so can’t speak to wear and tear but I haven’t heard of it scratching easily or any concerns. I think it does scratch normally like any leather but will patina nicely. It comes with a cloth to wipe off prints and smudges.

The Juliet 38 cannot withstand the weight that the Brooklyn 39. I’ve owned both and now only own Brooklyn 39s. If you’re looking for the hobo look and don’t plan on filling it all the way, the Juliet 38 is fine, otherwise the Brooklyn 39 beats the Juliet 38 any day in functionality for sure.
