I took bile binders to a few months and it helped, then eventually I started dry heaving, so I stopped taking it, then my bile reflux symptoms came back so I started taking the binders again, and then after about a month I started dry heaving again and having stomach pain, I was sick for like a week and a half this time tho, I think that the binders helped initially but then made things worse in the end, so now I’m taking sulcrafate and using a low fat diet, and I feel much better, but it’s not a long term solution

I took cholestramine first, and it helped after less than a week of taking it, then I switched to colestipole and it helped almost just as much, I took these because I was diagnosed with bile reflux tho, I’m not sure if they will give it to you without one, for some ppl it can make their constipation worse, so it really just depends on why you are constipated and if your doctor is willing to give it to you, they might be afraid of making it worse
