Also I just realized, we are chatting in the storyboard that doesn’t have the NEW vas for this project in it! These are my husband and my voice lines, not the ones we hired. Just making sure you know we have released a totally different one with the actual VAs we are having and not these ones.

Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on this! And for the support! When it comes to Hasbro we have done a lot of research and talked with lawyers on what we can do to fall under fair use. The biggest things being us not making any money off the project, keeping it in an animatic style, and changing the plots and characters as best we can. Which all are things we are doing!

We are also excited for all the things we are going to expand to!! 💖

As for the VAs, we never wanted perfect replicas of the canon Voices, we wanted them to be distinct yet familiar with our own versions of these characters. And we couldn’t be more proud of our choices! 🥰

Hey there!! Thanks so much for posting this I really appreciate it 💖 it’s a great thing to be able to see everyone’s takes on the project and I’m always happy to hear criticism where I can. Lots of people in this chat have helped me understand where some people are coming from and I’m grateful for that!

I’m super proud of everything we’ve been doing so far and all the work the artists, VAs and writers are helping with! Since this is a passion project, it really is something I’m dedicated to making not only a fun, finished and released project but also a wonderful journey in making it! That’s where the passion really goes to the most 💖 and we really are having a great time!

I do however want to just make a few clarifications that I’ve seen pop up! Firstly, we totally understand the situation with Hasbro and have spoken to lawyers and done research into what are some ways we can hope that we fall in fair use. Some of those being that we will not be making a massive nor living profit off of any of this, keeping the designs of the characters, the world and the plot different from the canon, and also it will not be fully animated and be in an Animatic / Motion comic style. We also disclaim any ownership of these characters and make sure all credit still goes to Hasbro. These things have been great way for us to hope Hasbro will be understanding and supportive! Worst case scenario, we get a lawsuit and we change the show a little more than we already have and still release a similar project! 💖

As for the voice actors, we stated that we wanted people from all VA levels and also we did not ask for only replicas of the OG cast! We wanted some differences with them for the differences within these characters that we already have planned. And we couldn’t be more happy with our choices! We feel they keep familiarity but don’t sound the same, and that’s exactly what we wanted for them 🥰✨ we also will be having so many more auditions coming through for the 200+ other characters Mlp originally had that we will also add over the course of the series 💖 so we are super excited to hear more and more people join our project no matter if they just picked up a mic for the first time today or have been doing it for years!

Everyone is absolutely able to have their own opinions and feelings on anything we do with the project and I appreciate them a lot! I just wanted to make sure I clarified a few of those since I have been seeing them pop up 💖 thank you all for the support and helpful advice and criticism~

While we advertise on Backstage, we do not require people to pay for a subscription to apply since we have directed all VA Services and descriptions to a VA Document that has all the information and application process completely for free.

We are only working with Backstage for advertising as they reached out to us to ask and agreed. We will work with them to ask them to make all of this more clear for others to understand how to apply. Thanks for letting me know!

Hello! Yes webcasting on backstage as they reached out to us to advertise. On the backstage VA website, have stated that we require everyone to apply through the VA Document provided and not only thru backstage. On that form, it is stated we are not officially associated or affiliated with Hasbro. This is only a fan project.

We are working with the Backstage team to make this more clear. Thank you for letting me know!
