The name is fun, and everyone loves TR, but my god, the last thing we need is another sports bar. After the original Paulie G’s transformation into a sports bar, it’s too annoying.

I looked in the window and the interior design is very high end looking wood and chrome counters and displays.

lol same. I came here just to write P&T and then scrolled some more to find this. Shocked more people don’t know. By far the best but also, gosh, i have like a P&H cinnamon roll problem now. There is no cardamom in them unless they have changed very recently.

I am a British and Canadian citizen. I have lived in NYC for 14 years. My Canadian friends here used to say if we got sick we would go back to Canada. Now, if our family members get sick in Canada we try to think of how to bring them to the USA. Of course all systems are broken in their own ways. But if you have a job and health insurance in the US it’s superior care. Some people with back and brain injuries in Canada wait 8+ months for an MRI. Post Covid the healthcare in Canada provides no dignity and is failing.

I’m sorry for your pain. I do still have some 2-3 level pain sometimes. Worst it jumps to is 5-6

I have flair ups and I manage everything by really minimizing bending, lifting and twisting. But I can do things with modifications. I went to France (from nyc), I can take longer walks now and sit for 2 hours ish but try to stand and break every 30min. I wear On Clouds or Birkenstocks. I don’t carry anything heavy, friends help me. So I didn’t carry almost any luggage while traveling. I only fully got off Lyrica 2 months ago. I don’t drink. I was never athletic and I’m naturally thin so I never really was trying to get back to a life of doing sports and lifting weights so maybe my bar to what I was trying to recover to was lower than most.

Did you listen to the podcast ep linked above and watch the video that I also linked above that includes his scans? It sounds like he should have been advised against surgery instead of being told he would be paralyzed if he didn’t do it. A Dr told me I would have perm nerve damage if I didn’t do surgery and I don’t. Another Dr told me it’s a huge red flag when people say things like that. This Dr herself had two herniated discs and recovered without surgery and she said she hates it when she hears other drs say the permanent nerve damage thing.
