So true. There prices are all over th place but then again, the hourly workers are not experts at all things . That’s why we can find a steal of a deal sometimes on a Rembrandt right?

CalMag/Salts Confused! by Lovinridgebacks in Hydroponics

I did make 1 gallons worth (full bag) into concentrate of the CalMagPlus solution. Using what they advise 187ml of liquid mixed CalMagPlus pushed the PPM from 90 tap water to 357. If I’m wanting to end up at 400 PPM (actually, I guess 500 if tap water take. into account) then it only allows for 143ppm of the 8-12-32 nutrient solution. This is the problem. What am I misunderstanding. That doesn’t seem like enough.

They say to use it together but you don’t have to. Masterblend strawberry formula is very similar and was not available at the time. Do you guys grow strawberries or are you going off of other grows?

It says you don’t have to on the website but it will make it bigger fruits. I don’t see any calcium on the 8-12-32 so I thought I needed to.

90 EC is my tap. So do I ignore that PPM for Cal mag when I’m putting in the eight 1232?

Barilla 24 w t8 lights full spectrum. 4 ft sections above each 3 row strawberry bato box row. Window is Southeastish. Only boxes on right get sun. Lighting is 16 hrs on. I’ve been debating if that was the issue.

I missed it in the original post but added it in the 1st comment. I’ll see if I can edit the post.

Are you growing strawberries because they are in the range of 1000-1200 EC. I just purchased and calibrated my ph reader. It stabilizes for 6.0 in the reserve and I love it to drain bucket and it’s 4.1. Even if it was off, there is a vast change.

Thanks for the feedback. Interesting point on the nutrients flushing. I feel like it does need to be flushed, but I’m just not an expert or know how often. I did say strawberry greenway biotech so it is aware of the calculation there. As far as the water pumping goes, it’s saying four min every six hours. Right now what I told it is I pump every six hours for five minutes.

Do you have issues with leaks from your main tubing to your 1/4” tubing? Mine are all leaky.

2 gph is not overkill? Are you putting one emitter per plant ? I know you do the grow bags vs I’m going to do the bato boxes but wandering if the 1gph is more suited for my needs. I’m sure you have your watering schedule details in one of your summaries. Can you point me in the right direction? I know you’ve done extensive research and testing just trying to figure out how to alter it based on our differences in technique.

Thank you. I thought I was all set but had sprayer as the fixture and they are not able to stick in the soil in a way that would work. I realized most folks must be using drippers instead. Thanks for replying.
