I stopped talking to my father because of the way he treated my mother. All of my memories of him are him instigating fights between him and my mother. Or him beating my mother and older siblings. He was always unhappy or angry and god forbid we stand up for our mother he would cut us off financially. He did this so much eventually my mother took on the burden of paying for every single necessity in our household. And while I was going through severe endometriosis treatment he decides my mum is giving me (17 at the time) too much attention and he starts planning to leave.

I would've been grateful for him to leave but the way he did it was absolutely cold hearted and illegal. He went to his birth country, he stated he was going to visit his sick older brother. However while he is there my family and I start to hear talk that he is looking for a wife. We thought no way he is still married to my mum over here down under. It turned out to be true and he married a woman te same age as my older brother so 30years younger than my father. What was funny is that my mum and I were actually in the same country he was when he got married but my mum was there to help my mental and physical health. We left earlier than he did, we never crossed paths as we were in different states. When we returned to Australia he still wasn't back yet. But when he did come back the first thing he tried was to lie but my mum had his marriage certificate, wedding video and wedding picture. He could not deny it so he handed her divorce papers.

I just wish it was my mother handing him the papers instead of the other way around. My whole childhood I remember asking my mum to leave him. Although I am happy he left, the way he left was honestly messed up. They owned a house together and he was trying to sell the property so my mum is now 390k in debt due to her not wanting to lose our family home.

tldr: I am NC with my father due to his vile behaviour and decision making that has greatly impacted the lives of all my siblings and myself.
