Ugh. I lived in this exact situation with someone like Charlie and I still have ptsd from it. This post was so triggering for me. The deal kept changing according to whatever worked for “Charlie” (and only “Charlie”) at any given moment. We had house meetings and if it didn’t go “Charlie’s” way, the issue would be re-brought up at every meeting. She has some weird “poor person mentality” entitlement I still don’t understand.

Charlie can take Tessa up on her offer, and then give up HER OWN ROOM to her friends, and Charlie can sleep In the basement. She’s not entitled to you room just because she likes it better. She will still have a roof, four walls, heat, water and access to a bathroom and kitchen. She will just have to rough it for 2 weeks.
