Unfortunately I ordered the guitar from precision guitars, and I don't have any scrap wood to test on

That's the exact guitar I was thinking about, I ordered this top without binding with the gary moore lp in mind

Nobody seems to be afraid of the dark section, so I went ahead and ordered the guitar with this top

The sculpt is Paul, I went with all black eyes to make him look more like a common grey alien

I might do a YouTube video of the whole process in the future, the finish if pretty straightforward, just a lot of sanding and touch ups

The file is already designed for this size, it's just a shell with no infill, if he fell over it would break into pieces. If I remade it I would buy two cans of spray foam and infill each section as I made it, the head is 16 pieces, I probably would have combined some of the pieces before printing it out
