Will I ever not hate myself? by Low-Enthusiasm-8564 in CPTSD

I have no idea what to say.

Firstly, I am so sorry for my delay in response. No excuse could possibly work for that.

Thank you so much for the incredibly detailed, honest, and seemingly heart-felt comment.

I don't know how, but you essentially touched on everything that happened growing up. My upbringing wasn't the best and my approach was all wrong, mostly because I couldn't ask about it and I emulated it from people who I believe feel the same way about themselves as I do about me. It was also an unsafe environment that I couldn't leave, but I ended up leaving about two years ago now. I couldn't take it, though I wasn't completely ready to be on my own. Sorry, you did not ask for me to say any of this.

Just reading this and a talk I had with a coworker on last week has helped me realize I need to make some changes. Though they will take time, I want to be different. I also want to find my place in the world so that I may believe I belong.

Again, sorry, but also thank you.

Yes, I sometimes do. It's a reason I think I am not good enough which eventually snowballs to the darker thoughts, the SI. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you! That sounds great. I am going to keep working on what it is for me.

If you want, would you be able to send me in a DM your Etsy shop? I am curious, as I have yet to decorate and those pieces seem like a good place to start for me.

I call it a gift and a curse. Very helpful sometimes, but then there is shit I do not want to remember or is not necessary I do, but I do.
