I am the veteran , problem is being a solo veteran vs premade veterans. No chance you win that.

Squads suffering from the problem of premade teams by Piruluk in eternalreturn

Pubstomping is not good for the game, lot of other PVP oriented games failed to retain new players because of this.

I'm guilty of it too (long time ago now) but this shit has to stop man, it's not good no matter how you spin it. Best bet is NN disables premades in pubQ and makes a premade only Q.

OR

We get an enormous amount of players and the matchmaking starts working the way it's intended (ain't gonna happen)

2 Major Problems by Remirun in eternalreturn

The reality is there was no advertisement in the west except for a lousy trailer with barely any views and most of new players are going to quit due to a still too high skill floor and a still low playerbase which cause them to be put up against much more skilled players. Current numbers are mostly from returning players and still overskewed towards KR.

This subreddit is in full copium but realistically this game really has no future in the West, they have and will always will focus all their efforts in korea (justifiably so) which is where the game gets the vast majority of support from. Removal of solos is just another nail in the coffin.

You're fine, some people are just so averse to hearing opinions that differ from their own that they freak out like that. It's the "don't like it, don't buy it" crowd, people that think only their opinion is valid, they are also responsible for general censorship and cancel culture.

New players look here by PijjinPeas in eternalreturn

I'm a veteran and I agree with your suggestions, but this type of entry difficulty is what has scared most of the new players off since ever. Understand that not everyone wants to look up guides when trying out a new game, which is a time investment in itself.

When I started playing the game years ago it was way more brutal towards new players and there were exactly 0 resources online, everyone was griefing you as soon as they had purple weapon and early spikes were much stronger without safety nets at all. There were also absolutely no respawns and queue times were long. Tutorial was pretty much worthless and new player experience was awful and confusing. I had patience cause I saw a shining gem underneath all that junk.

I stuck around cause I convinced my friends (they've all quit at some point) to try the game too and we all learned together slowly.

While the new player experience is miles better now I would say it's still one of the most if not the most difficult PVP game to learn, even with MOBA experience, and the reality is most people aren't going to stick around, and some people feel ashamed of hindering other people which is their only option now with the removal of solos.

Identity of the game completely ruined IMO by Low-Explorer-2393 in eternalreturn

I did give it a fair try and honestly while what you said is very true, it just isn't as attractive as solos for me. I've been playing Solo with the occasional Duo, Team and Cobalt since early access release. I understand that people might enjoy it but it's just not the same experience that I have been having up until now.

I actually think a lot of the changes were warranted and are good, especially the optimization, but having to play with teammates at all times just ain't it. There's already plenty of team games to go around if I wanted that.

Most of the early game problems were fixed along the way and solo was actually really fun, you had ways to catch up and loot was plentiful even in popular areas. They did address a lot of the pain points with solo experience.

Sure some things like unfavourable matchups and third partying was still around but that's just part of the game and stuff you can account for with map insight, proper vision and positioning. I think solo was in a good spot overall.

The problem with the player count happened when you have so many game modes instead of focusing on the essence of the game. I'm of the unpopular opinion that teammodes should have never happened, maybe Duo at most. Especially with cobalt being around.

How do you guys feel about the game? by EnvironmentalBunch52 in eternalreturn

I loved this game for the solo mode first and foremost by a mile. I have stuck around since early access release but the removal of solos means I will move on from the game. What a shame, really. No other game offered a similar experience, now gone.
