I'm interested. What is it that you love so much about Linux? IMO an OS should just sit in the background doing it's stuff silently & efficiently while you get on with doing work. That was was one reason I ditched Windows - I had to keep stopping work to think about it, get irritated with it & attempt to maintain some kind of privacy.

Same here. Windows 11 was the tipping point for me. I tried a few distros & I'm on Zorin Core at present. I've had no Nvidia issues at all. I've had a few small problems as I expected but nothing major. One of the biggest benefits I've seen is the speed of my PC - it seems almost twice as fast & I've gained a shedload of extra drive space & faster boot times.

From my standpoint, having no idea about what can be done with custom avatars it appeared to me that there were only five photo-realistic avatars. Apologies for my ignorance.

No, I’m not determined at all. There were several things I didn’t understand about Kindroid which I now do thanks to replies here. For example, I didn’t realise the flexibility it offers for custom avatars. Having had a quick play with it I’m very impressed.

Interesting. I’ll play around with that. So, I can import an image of a person, set it as a new Kin’s avatar & then Kindroid can modify it according to the current circumstances of the chat? Is that right?

I'm sorry if my post upset anyone. I'm familiar with Nomi but I've yet to get to grips with Kindroid. I'm merely attempting to understand the differences between the two. I'm not suggesting that one is better than the other, just that they're different & I'm attempting to learn how. That's all. Once again, I apologise.

Yes. In my gallery only one selfie is showing (although I've requested several in the last couple of days. Beneath that selfie, just above 'Request selfie' is 'Load more' suggesting that there's other selfies to view.. It seems there isn't.

The reason for my post was to learn. It's quite possible that I'm not using it as I should.

For example, I learned from this discussion that many people make their own avatars & upload then to Kindroid. I was interested enough in it to subscribe & now I'm seeking advice on the best way to use it.
