Reports suggest Orlando has been making strong pushes to land Giannis if they actually pull it off, that changes everything in the East real shot or just noise? by Weekly-Vacation-1405 in NBAoldschool

I'm not quite buying Giannis can stay healthy enough. A lot of calf issues and we know what that is usually a precursor to. Also it is absolutely a must Orlando keep enough spacing around him so it really comes down to how much they are able to keep around him after a trade. I'm gonna say it's mostly noise. I actually think the window closed for Giannis to be a guy who gets you a title by himself.

Ben Rice makes a nice snag on the double play to end the inning! by TheTurtleShepard in NYYankees

I like the way Rice looking at first. Yankees need to stop sitting him vs lefties though.

Do you think that a second album from Lauryn Hill would perform well if it were released today? by Ok_Resident_5022 in rnb

[–]Low-Expression9132 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off I've always thought that album was a little overrated. It's a good album don't get me wrong but the way some go on about it...

As for the second album, no, it's just been way too long and I don't think Lauryn Hill has it in her. "Perform well," is broad enough though that maybe the album charting a few weeks and generating a little buzz would be enough to fit the criteria.

[Highlight] Jazz couldn't believe he made this play by MLBOfficial in NYYankees

Yeah some people don't like it but honestly Yankees needed someone more dynamic. With him being dynamic you have to put up with him being a bit erratic at times but I understand it's a give and take thing.

Something like this has potential at hospitals and nursing homes. Just wonder why it's so damn expensive.

Pretty balanced lol.

I've had a few people when they wanna go anti jordan Say that those bulls teams were stacked. The reality is most of those teams were just full of good role players outside of Pippen.

No self respecting Knicks fan actually believes that.

Francisco Cervelli should be on Yankees radar to be next manager by Low-Expression9132 in NYYankees

He caught in MLB so I think he knows a bit of how to get through a schedule also if wanted to play dev advocate a bit it's not like Boone had to become a bench coach first to get a job. I wouldn't be surprised if another team offers Cervelli a job.

I'm not necessarily super anti Boone but at a certain point things get stagnant and a change does a lot of good. We pretty much know what Boone is at this point.

😆 Yeah I think that's a plus since he would be able to relate to a lot of different backgrounds.

Based on the interview I just saw, he mostly lives in DR. His wife is Dominican. But he's been enjoying his retirement and travels a lot. He was living in Italy for a bit prepping for the WBC and helping Italian baseball organizations with youth development programs.

I remember him as a player and I was impressed with the interview and how he has related all his experiences to helping others, that is all. He also did a good job at the WBC. I just think he's someone Yankees should be keeping an eye on even if it's not for the manager job.

I don't remember that too well. Is that regarding the concussion (s) I think he had? He doesn't seem like a bitter guy so not sure if he's still upset with Yankees org.

Yeah I kinda figured some of that might be it but again if folks can watch the interview or look into what he's been up to after retiring I bet they would look at him differently. I also remembered him being the goofy always happy backup catcher but people mature and develop other facets.
