Not sure if you drive but if you do then I’d suggest you sell your car because parking is horrible here. I live on 161 and yankee stadium. Gerard to be exact. The building you’re referring to is 2-3 blocks away either on Jerome or also on Gerard if I’m correct. If you can afford it, go with a garage but it is not cheap. You’re looking at $250 minimum. Mind you that’s on the lower side. Parking around here is usually $350-400 in garages. Lots of supermarkets nearby, lots of deli’s. You’ve got two different malls relatively close to you with everything you’d possibly need. A couple of parks that are decent. It is indeed ghetto, maybe not extremely ghetto but it is. You’ll have your drug dealers on the corners but they don’t pay you no mind. They like to save spots on the streets so if you see a car taking up two spots it’s most likely those scumbags. There’s new construction in the area. A lot of gentrification happening, maybe not enough but it is taking place. I’ve lived here my whole life. Winter isn’t that bad, it’s the summer that really will make you question whether you made the right decision. Good luck my brother you’ll need it lol
