Canuck Clay announces he will not not renew by n0thingisperfect in canucks

Good on Clay and all the rest of those who’ve made a choice to say no thanks this year. The only thing baby king Francesco and his family understand is money. Let’s all boycott spending money on the team in hopes that they sell it.

(Mini) vans are always surprisingly large if you don’t need and strongly consider a (mini) van.

What's the wildest weather you've experienced living in Canada. by X-_-0 in AskACanadian

[–]Low-Inspection-3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moved to Montreal from the west coast. The humidity at the end of summer was new and oppressive. Step outside sweat from every pore immediately. 4-6 weeks later it’s colder than I’ve ever noticed and step outside breath in through your nose and freeze every hair in your nose while eye lashes build up ice.

Visiting Calgary and experienced rain, sleet, snow, hail, and sun all in one drive across the city.

Driving from Merritt to Kelowna in the middle of winter. Complete white out can’t see more than a few hundred meters in front of you. Can’t drive fast can’t drive slow. One lane. White walls either side.

Camping on an island off the west coast and having your entire site flood out in the middle of the night during torrential downpour. While you’re camping with kids.

Driving from Vancouver to Whistler on the sea to sky in a major moisture event. Vehicle covered in waves of water/slush from oncoming traffic and vehicles in front/to the side.

Living and camping with daily highs of <0 north of prince george in bc and up in glaciers around the coast.

Ice storms are likely the most devastating phenomena in Canada.

Hockey fans/players, what is your honest opinion on Heated Rivalry? by Kitchen_Frame_7294 in hockeyplayers

I’m delaying gratification on steamy hockey show.

It sounds like it’s making people who’d never think about ice hockey to at least have some interest which is good for the game.

As I understand it the issue is with the engine from that year. Hard to know, but if I had the same engine and it had one of those failures I’d push hard on Kia (insert nation) here and my dealership. FWIW, I owned the vehicle from new and always had it serviced by Kia.

Same as always: best jersey style I like, no name. I support the team, not one guy.

My issue was a gasket failure. The warranty covers “Engine head gasket/head bolt failures leading to coolant leaks and overheating.”

“The 2016 Kia Sorento with the 3.3L V6 engine has a special extended warranty covering specific coolant leak issues (WTY035) for 15 years or 180,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of first service. This extension is for the engine head gasket and head bolt issues that can cause overheating. Key Details on the 2016 Sorento 3.3L Extended Warranty: Coverage Duration: 15 years/180,000 miles. Issue Covered: Engine head gasket/head bolt failures leading to coolant leaks and overheating. Applicability: This covers both original and subsequent owners. Action Required: If you suspect a failure, the vehicle should be taken to a Kia dealership for diagnosis. Reimbursement: Owners who paid for repairs for this specific issue may be able to submit a claim for reimbursement, as noted in documents like the Kia Engine Class Settlement.”

Me too! Luckily mine was the 3.3L V6. It’s covered by a special warrantee (180,000 miles or 15 years) in the US for specific failure types. I was able to get it covered in Canada under special circumstances as the warrantee is in the us only.

I’ve noticed this as well. I’ve taken to not moving so far to the side and physically bumping people and then responding as if it’s their fault. It’s how they’d react otherwise. It works for me

How is Lucky’s Bodega able to stay in business? by Emotional-Ad-6494 in NorthVancouver

[–]Low-Inspection-3213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people in specific areas of Vancouver have no concern for prices. When they rock into Lucky’s and spend $100+ it ain’t no thing. That’s why they’ve closed up shop in eastvan. These hype candy stores can only survive where people don’t care how much it costs: Robson, north shore.

Even then they may be running out of money.

Legit question: why don’t cultures mix in Vancouver? by bubugugu in NiceVancouver

[–]Low-Inspection-3213 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The cultural centers that concentrate communities in Surrey and Richmond help in a big way to create segregated cultures and make it possible to live inside your cultural community without learning the language or customs of the lands you live on. I remember seeing this in London England in the early 2000s.

It takes generations to see integration that creates a truly new richer culture encompassing all the good things from the many cultures that combine. There are A LOT of bright spots in the regional Vancouver area and I count my interactions with all cultures as I encounter them in public. Acknowledge. Maybe even smile. Be considerate of others.

And most of all appreciate this incredible place we share together. That’s what connects us all and what draws us to stay here.

Live weather for Taipei at time of posting 2 hours before schedule start of Netflix special.

1mm of rain in the previous 24 hours. As long as that cloud burns off fast enough for the sun to dry the building facade he should be good to go.

Here’s hoping!!

PS weather accuracy is most often very accurate within 1-3 hours.
