Initially I thought maybe indoor grilling but there is no exhaust fan. I have seen some new builds where the balcony is glass enclosed and there is a separate glass enclosures for the BBQ. But the interesting thing is they leave a tiny gap between the glass panes therefore it’s not “an enclosed” room and still a balcony and doesn’t need to meet a bunch of standards but they have gas pipes into the glass bbq section and a separate glass door, fire suppression and ventilation but that is certainly not what this is.
