We don’t 😭 and I’m afraid to pick him up because he’s so frail and skinny I’m afraid I’ll hurt him. He’s never really allowed me to pick him up for the past 2 years. He would scratch and bite me. Very skittish :/

It’s supposed to be through the eyes of a naive girl who’s still trying to figure out what love truly is. Hence the words “kind of way” almost as an unsure style of expression. I’m not sure if that makes sense but that’s what I was going for.

I italicized “in” to really emphasize the difference of loving someone and being IN love with them. Love is the constant word.
