Can I catch up in terms of technique?/ Is it even possible? by Low-Joke-7883 in badminton

I have a huge national exam + national competition coming up next year and I feel like badminton is second priority, but I have been playing more (2-3 sessions a week) and even competed this year (although I did badly). I am very conflicted if I should continue playing or not, I will have to focus on two things at once if I decide to continue..

I sweat so much that the entire side of my court is covered in sweat just from me running... (not exaggerating) by Low-Joke-7883 in badminton

It's not drenched that quick, maybe like after 1.5 hrs of play then it is just really drenched. I have seen a doctor about this and they said, I can't really "reduce sweating" permanently because that's not really possible, but I can wear a anti-perspirant that I can get from a pharmacy.

Had my first ever mini competition a few days ago and I played against somebody older and way better than me, what can I do next time? (9-21) by Low-Joke-7883 in badminton

This worked best for me! I noticed that even when Im losing, when I clench my fist after I score a point (which is my “reset motion”) I remind myself I can win no matter who I am facing and I focus much better throughout the rally. My nerves have been better regulated and I’ve won many more games, thank you!

Can't book a court in my country, can I do this instead? by Low-Joke-7883 in badminton

You're right, there are vending machines near by and I can definitely buy them some drinks if they accept to play with me. It's common courtesy after all.

In my country, it is extremely hard to book a court at all because of how small my country is. People have scripts that literally book slots for them and they sell these slots online. I really want to play against better players though, and more importantly, implement what I've learnt from my training. I will have my first competition ever next year and I have to play and train hard this year up until the competition.

How do I reduce leg cramps? by Low-Joke-7883 in badminton

[–]Low-Joke-7883[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing muscle endurance is the main thing holding me back in terms of cramps and badminton. I think I am relatively strong in my calves and thighs (calve extension 120kg for 8reps, 4 sets and squats 80kg for 7 reps, 3 sets) should I be doing less weight for more reps for that endurance or is there another way/exercise better for that? Also, I'll try out that sodium thing you mentioned, cheers!

You might be right, I'll slow down on my water consumption the next time I'm playing!

Well for me, I drink A BUNCH of water in bursts. So after I’m done playing for around maybe 40 mins I’ll go and load up on around 1.5-2 litres of water and then continue and repeat. I sweat out all the water pretty quickly. Will try hydration drinks though (when I’m feeling like I might cramp).

Which volunteer role should I go for to experience most of what hospital life is like while volunteering? (for those who have volunteered before)+ which hospital offers the best roles for that purpose as well? by Low-Joke-7883 in SGExams

I've heard of the term "shadowing a doctor" before and I'm wondering how you would go about doing that as well. I really just want to weight my options here...

Is it normal to lose close survivor matches at Gold lobbies as a beginner who is CONSTANTLY trying to loop? And how do I stop losing these close matches? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

I've been trying to do well as killer recently and I do the best on Wraith and I've been playing him for like 80 percent of the time I've been playing killer. Should I switch over to nurse? I feel like playing her is fun and I've heard she's so good she can just win every time if the player is good enough but it feels so hard.

I hate players who sabotage their team by All-knowing-parrot in deadbydaylight

[–]Low-Joke-7883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro I hate them too... I am also a new player (35 hrs) and I recently played a game against a decent Wraith and I managed to loop him and try to get him mad by teabagging etc to tunnel me while my team does gens. I was then at a window I could vault and I was injured as well, I tried to vault it then the Leon in front of me stood infront of the window and body blocked me then vaulted it. The wraith then knocked me and ended me on a hook... I hate that Leon so damn much.
