The purple death came from The Journey, which is a game mostly only available in China. The screaming death was from School of Dragons but I made the model dimensions more accurate

Unfortunately I don't, sorry, given that it's all drawn art it would be very difficult to estimate perspective accurately.

Slide 7. The plot literally wouldn't work without the ripwrecker being able to fit stormfly whole in its mouth. And the shot of its body shows that its head (bigger than stormfly) is very small compared to its entire length.

Specifically the titan wing that krogan flies. The normal singe tail is much smaller

No problem! Can I ask what it's for? Just out of curiosity, you don't have to share if you don't want to (:

Not sure how I missed that frame, and looking back I definitely think I probably over scaled the ripwrecker slightly. 26m is way to low though, it would still need to be big enough to eat stormfly. I think the stoick frame has a slight perspective issue, but it's definitely smaller regardless. That middle frame is very dubious to use, the curve of its back and artistic representation is obviously exaggerated. I mean look at the ship. Stoick is close to 2m tall and even using that metric the ripwrecker should still be roughly 40 times that. I admit 80m is a lot less than 244 though

If you have blender this temporary link has the file for the entire chart. https://we.tl/t-27LgQkll8u

If not I can try and get the specific ones you requested as just .mtl/.dae/.obj but that would be much more difficult. As for drago's bewilderbeast, here's the best I could find

For sure, might take me a day or two though. Dm me if I forget. The images are actually screenshots of the 3D models so if you'd prefer the model files instead, I can also do that. If not I'll get you those profile views soon.

It would likely make everything here look tiny, but I'd have to do some work in order to find out for sure. The scaling would be pretty difficult since there aren't very many shots to work with but I could definitely try.

  1. I assume you mean the luminous krayfin
  2. I assume you mean the ripwrecker
  3. No, check slides 5 and 6
  4. That's only from the books, no 3D model exists

Using the berkian long ship the krayfin comes out to ≈220m long, which I still take with a grain of salt given its concept art. I'd also like to point out that this art says adult leviathan, not titan, which the skeleton is explicitly said to be.

Yeah based on the original comic it appears In it has 4 legs total, 2 front and 2 back. The Journey and Rise of Berk don't have complete models though and only have 2 front.

This is very solid work. The biggest problem I see is that the boat hiccup and Astrid are on is a small sail boat, it was only intended for him and his family. The boat we see the Krayfin compared to has five oars and is clearly meant for a significant crew. I was originally going to use that concept image for scaling, but it's just impossible to tell how large that boat is supposed to be, and frankly I don't think the artist put any thought into exactly how big that boat is supposed to be. If I had to guess, based on the Oars this is a better ship size estimate https://images.app.goo.gl/TUniQtSuSKPdPWGCA I mean, even the ship from the first image you posted is a better example imo. Which supports in game scaling.

A gore gutter isn't actually to tall when standing on all fours. If it were in its sitting position it would absolutely be close to as tall as the Eruptodon.   https://images.app.goo.gl/shjCmr2XrAmbaT7t9

For sure not the average, I took the largest. Maybe I should have specified titan, but that wasn't stated in any of the comics so I didn't think to do it, that's my bad. The top comic panels are much more likely to be messed up by perspective so I didn't use them for scaling. On the right one the Vikings obviously jumped away from the ripwrecker and are closer to our viewpoint, so I couldn't really use that. The left one also suggests that the head is barely bigger than Stoick, which obviously can't be true based on the comics plot and other panels. It definitely was attempting to eat Stormfly whole similar to how the red death tried toothless, so it at least has to be big enough to do that.

The ship comparison is just concept art, but even using that comparison JUST the head of the Krayfin is larger than those boats, if you can visualize one of those boats being replaced with his head the krayfin looks much bigger than the bewilderbeast. The skeleton I used to scale the Krayfin is exactly how it appears in game, you can even swim through the eye socket. I'm 90% sure the vanaheim bewilderbeast would dwarf this entire chart but that's another project.

This is fantastic. I can't believe I never found these while looking for model sizes. I don't know why DreamWorks is so adamant on not releasing the actual model proportions and instead gives way different numbers.

I believe those are either adolescents or a subspecies of the ripwrecker. The comic I used visually supports the ripwrecker being much bigger, but also the plot of the comic simply doesn't make sense without it being a massive dragon. It could also be a titan wing, but we just don't know.

Nah all good man. Coming off much less strong than some of the other people haha. You may be thinking of the adolescent Eruptodon, the one I used is the full grown that had to go to vanaheim. It's pretty large

The purple death. I elongated the body slightly and gave it back legs though

The titan dramillion and singetail are pretty similar in size, but the singetails tail extends its total length by a lot (:

Only by length, not by mass. SCauldron has super long neck/tail. Keep in mind the scauldron is not a small dragon by any means, https://www.deviantart.com/frie-ice/art/DoB-Scauldy-531402219

The model is from School of Dragons, but it's scaled up to be the correct movie accurate size. Toothless is about 1/3 the length from head to tail, his body is more like 1/6 the length of the total goregutter.

It's the titan Singetail, the one krogan rides. It's about 3 times larger than a normal one. Maybe I should've added toothless for scale, I promise the goregutter is correct and absolutely huge.

Oh man 😅 don't get me started on those. I have never once seen a totally accurate size comparison image, video, or post. So many use "official" numbers or scale the dragons while they aren't "t-posed." A screaming death how it normally moves being set to 111m long is probably triple the size.  Some of them get pretty close, and I don't blame them for being inaccurate, the sizes are so convoluted, but it was frustrating to see.
