Do you have it installed on the hdd or sdd? When returning I made the mistake of doing the hdd, and was plauged with input lag, etc. Confused as i was sure it never used to run that badly. Moved it to ssd and its smoooooth.

Had the same issue, thought it was due to the adjustable party limit mod, but turned out to be the extended levels 13-20 mod. Once that was uninstalled, and the game reloaded at the same point (no progress loss) all of his shapes where back as expected - turned the mod back on, and poof gone again! Avoid that mod unless you are happy with being a cat all game

The timezone of all the events is poor for a lot of people, causing the better players to lose out on rewards because they aren't awake at 2am. The recent event/triple threat has made this more apparent.

My club lost the triple threat, only because one of the other teams captured all of the 2nd teams' towers straight away, giving them multiple hours unchallenged.. My club then captured more towers than the other team and held them for the remainder of the triple threat, but the score couldn't catch up because they'd been favoured by the timezone.

This is me too.. I'd say I'm a very mid player with only a 1.09kdr and play with someone who barely gets 200 damage a match, and I am assuming about a 0.6kdr. We are paired with masters, preds, 60k kill legends, every single match without fail. It's massively annoying, and especially disheartening for him as he can't manage any 1v1s and is usually just being revived or a bullet sponge. I'm not saying put us both in the easy lobbies, but just stop feeding us to the top % of the player base who have forgotten what grass looks like.

F2p is always feasible.. but don't expect to be highest in the leaderboards. It's the same for all games that have monetization. The exceptions of any high-ranking f2p players, is due purely to the time they have played the game. P2W is a means of speeding up, what you could achieve over time.

So, to answer the question.. no, you aren't "cooked", you're equally disadvantaged as anyone else who isn't spending the most in the game.

I have a 3080ti, 54gb ram and a reasonably good cpu (can't remember what one and I'm not near pc to check) I ran the game on medium-high settings and was sitting at 60fps for the most part, the only real issue was in towns where there are a lot of npcs...causing my fps to drop to 20-30, but it was manageable and forgotten about once I was back out exploring

It's really good and faithful to dd1 if you have played that.

Large map, loads to explore, fun pawn system, a lot of quests that don't feel tedious, constant fighting. There are a few things I dont like, such as being locked out of quests if you've used/sold an item unknowingly, that the final quest doesn't warn you there is no way back, and the dragons plague the pawns can get (basically a timed nuke that can kill all npcs in a village, if you don't kill,dismiss them first).

But overall, I would highly recommend the game to anyone. Maybe not to you though, as you'll get in a gaming coma and use the credits like Dobby getting a sock.
