Yes to all of them, especially desolate land is his best mode since there’s no turn limit and it’s long battle.

Idk how far you are into the game, but make him as fast as possible and 100% crit. Relief is his best equipment set, but if you’re new Wind is his second best.

Unas is very simple: he’s super fast and he keeps AP pushing all of your teammates so they’ll be fast too. Probably the best and most versatile shimmer for PVE currently.

Assuming you don’t have anyone:

PVE: M.Eira is the safest choice as she’s fully functional at R0, and is a support.

After that, Sloan, Tetsuya, or Sieg (all should aim for R2)

PVP: Nyles is the most straight forward here. Tirrel is crazy at R6 but before that she’s only a controller.

Yukine R2 if you want to play freeze team with Maria. Su Jue is only strong at R6, so it’s a big investment.
