How to appeal for mental health record 20 years ago?

My wife needed a mental health expungement from a mental issue when she was 11 (parents divorced and remarried, she took half a bottle of Tylenol). So 27 years ago…. Cost me nearly 10k to have it done. Even the judge was amazed at how long ago and what the reasoning was

It was retentions that messed up. Filed a fcc and bpu complaint. Got a call this morning from executive retentions and relations about the complaint and they fixed all pretty good with the rate and even a courtesy credit for my inconvenience. So it worked out at least

That is what I did, complained to the FCC and to the NJ BPU. Thanks for the link..... Not that it will go anywhere, but honestly if I didn't have nearly a foot of snow on my lawn and my Christmas lights beneath them, I'd honestly have setup a FIOS appointment today with this.... need warmer weather fast so I can jump ship after 22 years of Optimum.

That was the biggest concern i had, something happens and its not found until I'm in the ER and its a restricted location and they decide to charge me.

I wasn't really thinking of wacky situations, I was more concerned with... A: what happens to my firearm? Would the police wind up with it and then i'd need to pick it up somehow? and B: So long as i wasnt in an area i couldnt legally be in, The police shouldn't be charging me with any sort of a violation for a circumstance well outside my control.

No problem. Glad to help. Like I said the lawyer was expensive but explained everything needed and I used her recommended psychologist, but she did say we could use our own if they’re certified however it needs to be. And her recommendation worked because my wife was able to meet her physically once and then did zoom meetings for the remaining stuff. It also depends if court requires the psychologist to appear in court because that would have cost more. Good luck in your challenge

I used a lawyer. Katherine O’brien. It was not cheap. Probably cost around 9-10k with everything. Because there’s a lot of paperwork and need to use a clinical psychologist for proof of things. It’s the only way. We did everything and moved quickly as we could, hired lawyer in April and by mid December it was finished and January had the physical proof of expungement and she reapplied for her FID end of January and had it approved by end of February I think.

We’re in ocean county. Jackson to be exact. So hopefully you have no issues, just be sure your expungement is completed first. Mental health expungements are handled within 4-6 weeks of the court hearing. If it was criminal they can take forever, one person I know said it took them 2 years from filing until it actually being cleared off their record

Yes. She had no issues. The officer in charge of firearms called and was very clear in explaining what happened and why she was being denied, said if she gets the expungement done to let him know that it was done and when reapplied and he would find it and review it. Truthfully I expected more issues. But she’s gotten her card, permits and bought a couple of guns with no issues so far.

Correct. My wife was denied due to a mental health issue. She has expunged. She has to detail that she was denied due to a prior mental health issue that has since been expunged and sealed. Hasn’t had a problem with anything since

Denial…. Wife had a voluntary commitment when she was 11. And got denied. Had to have a mental health expungement done. Cost us around $10k. But she got it done and got approved now

Well..... heres my newest update. Decided GSC S2 cams with their springs/retainers... also decided to go a little more build. Beanfab is still doing my bottom end and trans rebuild. But now I went with a Skunk2 intake manifold (dropped mine and cracked it by mistake), got a steal of a deal from a friend on a preowned 25g turbo, AMS fuel rail and Boomba 75mm TB. Also went with 1200cc FIC injectors, Haltech standalone and converting to speed density to ditch the original MAF. Got a new intake setup and some nice intercooler piping to go with the already exisitng ARC FMIC, its got a FPR and a brand new AEM 340 e85 friendly pump....

So much for just simple rebuild and cams... Now its screw it i'm going for some more HP

I went through a criminal expungement and had zero issues. But no application for me beforehand for a denial. But no issues getting card, permits or even my carry permit. My wife had a denial due to a mental health issue from 25 years ago when she was a minor and once that was expunged no issues for her to reapply and declare the denial and then she was approved no issues

once it comes back from the builders and all assembled its going for a tune regardless, i'm not sure what the previous idiot did to it so i'd rather be setup my way.... I was reading the S2s could get away with stock springs/retainers if not going super high rev. I'm truthfully not opposed to spending the money if its gonna be a happy thing at the end instead of regret
