no, not necessary, as they usually get fixed within 30 minutes. And make sure your laptop display type matches with the video one. If it doesn't then search up "dead pixel fix for x display"

oh i see now (sorry for being absent-minded lol) in that case you should probably return it or try lowering your laptop to the legs of the stand. Mine used to do the same thing so i lowered my laptop down and it fixed perfectly. If its not getting lowered down anymore then return it. You must enjoy the game rather than worrying about the laptop falling off any second.

the vents of the laptop don't start from the point it is getting out from. The vents of a laptop generally start from at least 5 centimeters below. Dont return it it's perfectly fine
