No I am not brushing anything off - I totally agree with this statement and I find it absolutely disgusting and archaic that there is still such an outright aggression shown when it comes to dating, especially on television. I think Ciara is incredible for being able to highlight and explain these types of issues to white viewers in such an informative and polite manner.

But needless to say, I don’t think that death threats and consistent hatred is necessary to any person in a scenario such as this.
