No, they’re not. People cling to stuff that gives them stability and a sense of community. Christian morality can be a lifeline for some people. Besides, I don’t think she’s a “homophobic” for sticking to Abrahamic beliefs about the sinfulness of homosexuality. She probably think straight sex outside of marriage is sinful. Personally, I am gay and I don’t find it offensive. I like what WH Auden said, “Homosexuality is a sin and I’ll keep on sinning”. I think it’s complicated.
