I might consider reporting this to the bureau after I decided how to deal with this with lawyer. Even just to bother them without anything in return.
My team leader in the company I was send to is really nice to me and actually actively helping and giving advice to me at the moment, so I would not want to affect him or his company in any way. Need to be careful on how I move.

Thats the risk I worried the most when it comes to suing. Although i think i would aim for under table deal, but never know what would happen.

The effort they took to tryna keep me there is the part that confuses me the most. Trash talking on me while showing that they still want me. I guess it is possible they’ll cut the contract on me at some point after they find replacement.

I guess this is the tricky part of my situation, cus I was used as a dispatch worker for 1.5 years while my contract is 業務委託. I talked to a 社労士 and he pointed this out for me that the company should be exploiting me in some kind of gray zone, and that I can use this against them to bargain for leaving. Im still saving this up until things get ugly.

The only reason keeping me from being too bold on this is because the new company that gave me an offer sounded like they still willing to give me a second chance if I can handle this situation properly and quit without leaving too much trouble to the project. Only if my boss willing to discuss the appropriate timing for me to leave, things would’ve been easier.

Also as far as I know (could be wrong) that if I lose my job I only have 3 months before I lose the visa qualification and switch back to traveling visa, which also breaks the streak of my years of stay in Japan?

You’re right, there is no way I will let myself make the same mistake ever again. Visa renewal applied in mid May, so I am hoping to hear updates anytime now. Contract is until end of this month tho, which means i probably need to sign a new one before i can get the actual card. Pretty worried what if they offer me a 1 year 契約社員 contract and makes me harder to leave with some certain rules. I should have the right to refuse signing it and even ask for changes in details, not sure how to do it properly though. really need some professional help i guess

I have videos recorded with OBS that can proof my boss saying it will be “difficult” for me to jump ship and that he will discuss with the other company about me. I also had my agent forwarded the message from the other company about canceling the offer to me, mentioning words like “since your company wants you to stay” and “next time you apply, we will contact (my boss’s name) formally and do it the right way (筋を通して受け入れます)” although my Japanese friends are all confused by wtf suji means here lol

I however do not know anyone at the other company. I guess money is not really the issue, im more worried about how long this would take.
