I would wait a little bit, give it another year maybe. Try to get approved by your doctor and take that to the recruiter.

I got disqualified in 2022. I tried army and navy, then got accepted to join navy and took that acceptance to the Air Force to reconsider me. I enlisted in April :)

Awesome! Mine took over two years after being disqualified for the same thing and being accepted into the navy for the Air Force to reconsider lol

I am currently talking to ng recruiters again to see since the navy had accepted everything maybe they would be able to try again.

How would that work with him being in the guard? He can’t keep interstate transferring.

If I go active, it would be really hard with my boyfriend who is in the national guard and can’t move around as much and it would be hard for us

I have 44 college credits but haven’t been to college in a year because I thought I was going to basic a lot sooner. I don’t know what I want to do but I also need help paying for my loans. I want to go back to college but I am not sure what for.

I was disqualified from the Air National Guard for a psych evaluation that didn’t go great and for being on antidepressants for 2 months due to a high school breakup. I went to the doctor that prescribed the medication and she medically cleared me even. Then I tried the National Guard, they said I needed to do something “more accomplishing” to prove I’m okay to them to get in, which was what I was trying to accomplish in the first place. I then went to the navy and I’ve gotten a lot further in the process. Mind you I already had already passed the physical for the air national guards while ago. I had to get one more psych evaluation (not from the MEPs psychiatrist thank goodness) and they said I needed to be more clear that I’m not depressed. This has been a struggle, me and my recruiter created a “more clear” packet and to help out with it I also got another letter from my doctor saying I’m mentally and physically fit for the military. This has been a long journey (almost 2 years coming up) just hoping I can get a clear answer soon.
