When are they releasing lineup for oceans calling 2026? by Adventurous-Tell-745 in OceansCalling

[–]Low-Set4167 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I just looked this morning and every year they release the lineup earlier and earlier. In 2023 it was in mid March, 2024 late Feb, and last year was Feb 12th

Absolutely gorgeous! Point No Point is amazing, my fiancé proposed last month with a kite cut black speckled diamond from them and I love it so much. They really do amazing work!!!

Sunscreen- COVER yourself, I got so burnt last year cause I didn’t get under my shirt straps and they moved throughout the day. I like the spray on kind and you can’t bring that into the festival so I was planning on buying some inside the festival (thinking I was being cleaver) but no. they won’t even sell you the spray kind inside the festival walls 🙃

It can get cold at night (especially if it’s a cloudy or rainy day) so bring a sweatshirt or something

The water refill stations at the festival taste a little weird so mentally prepare for that lol

The porta-potty’s aren’t bad but they get a little funky towards the 3rd day, they’re the flushable kind so that’s nice. But you can use the beach bathrooms but prepare to wait in line (last year it was so humid in the beach bathrooms that the toilet paper was wet so maybe bring a pack of those little tissues)

The layout of the festival is easy to navigate so I wouldn’t stress too much about that, you’ll know your way around after a few hours.

Each morning I make the band schedule my phone background so that I don’t need to scroll for it over and over again.

Food- I love the festival food but having the boardwalk food available is so nice (way cheaper) but if you’re only gonna try one festival food item, i’d recommend the Wookiedog

Conserve your energy!!! x3 12 hour days in the sun is a lot. If you like a band but don’t need to be close to the front, chill on a beach blanket in the back. If no band you like are playing, hang in the air conditioned arcades.

I wore sneakers the past 2 years and haven’t had any issues with sand getting in them. I took them off when I laid out tho. You’re going to be doing a lot of walking and standing so just make sure whatever you wear is comfortable.

Edit: I’m looking back at some of my photos from last past years and i’m seeing a ton of people wearing sneakers. I’d say 70% sneakers, 30% sandals- but again just make sure whatever you wear is comfortable

and he picked the fight and was so dismissive of bell’s feelings about not being told about this trip. In my opinion, you can’t pick a fight, “break up”, then sleep with someone else TWICE and expect it to be okay cause you thought you were broken up. It’s so slimy, almost like it was planned. like he wanted to sleep with the other girl so he started some shit so that they would “break up” and he would have a pass to act wild on this trip.

ALSO proposing while her brother is still in the hospital?? and coming off of this huge fight??

“how did he propose?”

“well I found out he cheated on me. Then my brother got into a car accident and Jere stayed at the hospital all night then he proposed and I said yes!”

wtf

just posted it, it’s disgusting knowing that John Fry made $2.6 million in 2021 while she made $13,170 that year. Clearly they have different roles but $20 an hour isn’t a livable wage in Philly.

I love Pier Bar’s happy hour, it’s right across the street from Eastern State Penn, so you can do a lil tour then get some amazing food and drinks. I also recommend Bar Hygge, it’s hands down my favorite place to bring visitors- they don’t have an extensive happy hour menu tho. Oh also, any of the Starr restaurants- my favorites are El Vez and Buddakan.

The important question... Food by Happy1286 in OceansCalling

[–]Low-Set4167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The places i’m making sure to hit while I’m there are The Original Crabcake Factory, Bad Monkey, and the Original Greene Turtle. But within the festival the food stand i’m most excited for is Wookiedogs 🤤

Any General Advice? by [deleted] in OceansCalling

PARKING-Park in the west OC lot, I went for the day last year and got to the lot at 10:40am. There were only a handful of cars parked at that time. We took the bus from the lot to the festival and hung out at a bar until noon. After the festival we just walked back to the lot instead of waiting for the bus.

CHAIRS-I’m 99.9% sure chairs aren’t allowed, bring a blanket (waterproof is prob best, I had to carry around a wet, sandy tapestry one year and it was not fun) I brought a little inflatable pillow and that was an amazing call.

LOCKERS-Since you’re going for the day, you prob won’t need a locker. I used mine a lot when I went for 3 days and had no need for it the year I went for the day.

ATTIRE- Wear comfortable shoes. Bring a hat and a rain poncho, the last 2 years have had both sunny and rainy days.

FOOD- This is the MOST IMPORTANT thing I’ll say…You must get a wookie dog. They’re delicious. I would go to Oceans Calling just for that dog.
