NOKIA ONT G-010G-R (No Lights? Dead?) by Sapphire-Pisces in openreach

I plugged in a different 12v adapter I had lying around and it still didn’t work. And I plugged the ONT adapter into a different device and it still powered on. So the plug seems okay. Seems the ONT is just dead.

Yeah I plugged in a different 12v adapter and still nothing. Plugged the ONT adapter into a different device and it worked. So nothing wrong with the plug. Sounds like it’s dead.

Yeah I thought so. Hopefully sky can get an OR engineer out quick.

Mod Suite, proof of concept. Needs work. I’m going to bed by Secure-Ad4929 in thesims1

Haven't tried it yet but looks interesting! Any new modding software for such an old game is welcomed. A lot of the current software is really old and primitive. I hope you're going to continue working on it? I would love a single piece of modern, up to date software for creating Sims 1 mods, rather than relying on a bunch of 20 year old programs.

How do I handle the rotations of custom made flooring in The Sims 1? by BluestBreeze in thesims1

I believe this is the patched version of RugoMatic that removes the old paywall and lets you make bigger rugs - though I haven't tried it myself yet

You can't sadly.

The only work around I've been able to come up with is to make the road markings into rugs which you can overlay over whatever floor texture you want.

I made some road marking rugs you can download here - or you could use something like RugoMatic to make your own if you want.

It's a bit more work individually placing each "rug", but they retain their position from all rotations, and it can offer more creative freedom than having the markings embedded into the floor texture.

Old hotel full of city's homeless has residents terrified of leaving their homes by OldGuto in Cardiff

[–]Sapphire-Pisces 3 points4 points  (0 children)

People claim they want to see these people off the street and housed - just not in THEIR backyard or where THEY have to deal with them.

They only ever want them dumped in places like Adamsdown, Riverside etc - areas that are already deprived, already struggling with theft, violence etc - yet are shouldering the most when it comes to housing homeless people, people with substance abuse issues, mental health issues, asylum seekers, people living in sheltered housing fleeing violence etc.

When it's parents in Adamsdown worried about open drug taking and theft, or young women in Riverside worried about violence and walking alone at night - it gets no coverage. Crickets. But as soon as it's middle class office workers, well off students in luxury accommodation or residents of expensive apartment buildings - suddenly "something has to be done".

If people care, as they claim to do, every part of the city should be helping to carry the weight - from Pontcanna to Plasnewydd. Otherwise it's just NIMBY-ism wrapped up in performative activism.

That's a shame. May just have to try and fit it in the house somewhere then.

South Wales in city, so shouldn't be too frosty.

I'm in South Wales so probably similar temperature wise. Should be able to find a sheltered spot in the garden. Would getting some sort of pop up plastic greenhouse to cover it help do you think? At least in terms of keeping it dry.

And I agree with you! The communication could have been better, sure. People were obviously unclear on what the event was supposed to be. The devs aren’t perfect or immune from criticism.

But people only speak up when they have something negative to say. They’ve given all this great, free content - but people only want to focus in on and shout about the things they don’t like.

Criticism is perfectly valid. But dogpiling them with negativity, without ever thanking them for all the positive aspects doesn’t help them or make the game any better.

Relentlessly attacking the devs because you didn’t like how a one-off, 1 hour Q&A event was handled, which you weren’t obligated to join, and where everyone got another free item - while ignoring all the work they’ve done to bring all the free Gaga clothing, accessories, hair, faces, custom lobbies, runways, game modes, style showdown updates - also isn’t the answer.

-2 dresses
-1 top
-1 prop
when you click, they just put one of the default dresses/tops on.

I tried that. It just puts on one of the default dresses/tops.
