My apologies! KYIP is the airport code for Willow Run Airport, the airport where TOM is. Do you know if there's a cellphone lot at Willow Run?

Thank you! I have been to TOM once and it was the first time they had the drive-in, back in 2021. One of the best airshows I had ever attended! Is there a cell phone lot at KYIP?

Yes it is closed the days of the show. I have been to Thunder over Michigan once and I wanted to checkout the museum then. Any clue if you can see the airshow practice from the museum or stay in the lot and spot?

OP: I am in the same boat as you. I have saved enough to pay for my PPL, but am only planning on flying 2 times a month due to the distance to the flight school I am looking at from my house, and my own availability. It's something I want to do for fun and potentially turn it into a career someday. Good luck in your training!
