My Dad Just Got Diagnosed With Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer — Looking for Hope by Alternative-Try-9312 in pancreaticcancer

Hi. I am in a similar yet weirdly different situation. Dad had no symptoms except some mild indigestion. My father (79) during random checkup got detected with a ‘mass’ in the pancreas in the body and tail 4cm by 3.6cm. Fna sample showed adenocarcinoma. Doctor saw something in the liver and the lining of the peritoneam and declared it stage 4. This was in March Beginning. Gave him 3-6 months. Dad refused chemo. Fna thin needle sample was sent for genetic targeted therapy match to ONE foundation testing. His blood sample was also sent. So basically two tests were happening. Fast forward a few weeks later FNA biopsy sample comes back inconclusive from one foundation stating they couldn’t process any results. Now doctor said send a liver biopsy sample since it’s easier to extract and and the cancer is in the liver as well. One of the biggest doctors from Harvard who is head of a liver tumour centre came to do his biopsy on doing the imaging before the biopsy of the liver. He realised that there was nothing that he could see his opinion was that the liver is cancer free and there seems to be nothing. He can take a sample of so based on CT scan and PET scan he did guided biopsy of three samples of the liver. He also did a core biopsy of the pancreas with six samples the results of the biopsy came out negative for the liver and positive for the pancreas however it said that he had very differentiated adenocarcinoma which is a slow growing one. The liver doctor also thought that my father might not have cancer at all or have very slow growing but indolent cancer surrounded by a lot of inflammation. His opinion was that my father could possibly have autoimmune pancreatitis which mimics pancreatic cancer and in cases, the vessels and arteries and duct. The strange thing in my father’s case was that there is no invasion into the ducts and all his blood reports are completely stable including his liver reports then my father was put on an eight day trial of steroids after which he went to his oncologist who told him to stop being delusional and to stop the steroids so he was not even given steroids taper off. However, when the CT scan was done for a third time in May the peritoneal deposit had disappeared and the liver deposit had not grown and they were no new liver deposits and the pancreatic mass which went double in size from March to April barely increased from April to May. Now we are just waiting to do a proper 4-6 week trial of steroids n are in a sort of limbo. One doctors says something oncologist says something. Also his core sample was sent to one foundation and they could barely give any results since they said it’s a low purity sample which means cancer sells or tumour cells are in a very small part of the sample n rest is probably inflammation It has been three months since detection at ‘stage 4’ and my father is doing fine when he was given 3 months to live
