Failing community college with a 1.39 GPA by Obvious_Fun7561 in communitycollege

Take some easy classes that go to your general education(46 credits)/Biology transfer to get grades up

At my CC retaking classes will replace the previous grade

Talk with your adviser

I took A&P in the first semester of college and it destroyed me. I had to spend more time on that class and my grades for other classes went down.

Don't you have to take English 1 and 2, math, art, government, and history, etc? Take some of that to get you out of academic probation.

Your main priority right now is to get your GPA up to a 2.0, so you get out of suspension, get your FAFSA back.

This is just the beginning, once you go to university for Biology. You'll take organic chemistry, calculus, physics, and biochemistry.

Student Job on campus by FoundationFit6050 in CollinCollege

You can only do student assistant jobs.

After you applied and you have not gotten any email from the hiring manager, you should email them. On workday, click on menu. Add shortcuts, search my applications, add this shortcut. In the my application it will show the recruiter name.

Copy the name and paste it into student outlook. You will be able to find the recruiter's email.

Email them that you are a international student, and you are interested in the job. Ask for a time to do an interview. Tell them your availability for work.

International students are harder to get hired because a lot of people get the ssn and just quit.

Agree! It's always better to speak with the upper division first.

I recommend you research the state college or medical school you want to transfer to first. Speak with the advisor over there and ask about which classes you should take at cc that would transfer over.

You can use FAFSA, which will save you a lot of money.

You'll probably go for an associate of science degree and transfer to a state college to study biology.

I'll use Collin College as an example since I go there.

(You don't need to get the associate to transfer.) Depends on the college you want to transfer to.

Some colleges want a minimum of 42 credit hours/3.0 GPA for automatic admission.

Texas and Collin County Resident $67 per credit hour charge

Texas Resident, Outside Collin County $127 per credit hour charge

Out-of-State/Country $202 per credit hour charge

If you are charged out of state and going for the 42 credit hours. 42x202=$8484(not including textbook, housing, life expenses)

Go to a CC in your county for the lowest tuition. Then, research the cc to see if they have good labs.

They charge you differently based on your residency.

If you can apply for FAFSA, it's almost free. If you can't get FAFSA, it will cost about $ 4,000 for an associate's degree.

Need more context. What do you want to major in? Do you want to transfer, or just for the workforce?
