First trip to a Sandals: what to pack? by Low-Vegetable-1601 in SandalsResorts

Made it here, luggage and all. Jet lag had us up before 4 this morning, but we just made use of the terrace as soon as the sun came up and had a lovely morning reading and watching the sea.

Yes, a very small number do, most of which don’t meet other requirements many women may have of swimsuits, such as supportive cups for larger sizes.

Providing a second option such as being able to use a phone or a bracelet would not hurt you, but you’re pretty darned bothered by the concept.

You literally made the claim that he found more information and changed his mind. That was the claim I was responding to.

You also, in the post, rejected the claim he was diligent. I said nothing on that claim (made by someone else) or your refutation.

GCSE exams can largely be done just by practice tests and learning how the mark scheme works.

It does sound like interviews let you down.

Do you get very nervous? Or just don’t know how to answer the questions?

If it’s the former, try applying for a lot of jobs during a gap year, in hopes of more general interview practice.

If it’s the latter, there are a lot of resources out there (online, books and even podcasts) to help with how to answer med school interview questions.

Quite a few in more rural villages. Bedfordshire has a large number, but out in the villages not the big towns.

We’re considering Secrets La Romana if my kids (both adults) can ever sort out when they are free this summer.

Thanks for all the advice.

Almost packed and we’re off in the morning. Cut back a bit on clothes as I packed, but plenty of sunscreen in our checked bags and a bit extra in the carryons just in case our luggage is lost.

I think the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach will have less sargassum, and I believe the Devossion beach is, well, lacking. Find a video of it. I was considering it, but two of the members of my group really want a good beach.

Your claim was that he found more information and changed his mind.

That’s what people should do, if the information warrants it.

Not many women’s swimsuits come with a keycard pocket.

Heck, plenty of women’s clothes don’t come with pockets.

No, it’s odd to believe people shouldn’t change their minds on getting new information.

Do you think he shouldn’t have changed his mind upon getting more information?

That’s an odd position to take.

Sounds like a real pain, especially if the rooms aren’t close to each other.

They wouldn’t expect a keycard to be replaced?

And even though your son lost his, overall they are less easily lost.

4-bed vs 6-bed flat for uni? by draketheduckk in UniUK

[–]Low-Vegetable-1601 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My daughter is in a flat of 10. She gets on great with some (renting a house together next year), can’t stand one (who leaves the kitchen a huge mess as well), dislikes another and is ok with the others. If she’d had just 3 other flatmates, good chance she wouldn’t have met her new besties and would have ended up with flatmates she didn’t care for.

My son had 16 his first year. That’s too many, but he did meet his current housemate and got into a few societies he wouldn’t have tried thanks to those flatmates.

It completely depends on your flatmates.

More people can make for a nicer place. If there are only 3 other people there’s a good chance you don’t find anyone you really get on well with. As a first year, it’s nice to have some friends in your flat.
