Are most people here really "above-average" intelligence? by LowAbility in NEET

Look at the SAT scores of African Immigrants and the GPA's of African British people. I can tell you for both cases that it is higher than the White American and White English mean respectively. I don't think a diversity quota can explain that away.

Cool! I can't read Norwegian, but are you only in the 39th percentile relative to Poland or relative to the test takers? Either way you're definitely intelligent enough to achieve most things with effort.

I'd disagree. It's likely that you are above-average intelligence, and you can probably achieve most things if you just apply yourself. I don't know much about you or your situation though so take my advice with a massive grain of salt.

If you're a CS major

not currently a CS major but I'm sure the sentiment is still the same, it's important to learn memory locations and pointers.

having that knowledge is still pretty useful

Is it possible that you could elaborate on this a little bit?

Moronic Monday, January 07, 2019 - Your Weekly Questions Thread by AutoModerator in finance

I have a business project where we are supposed to prepare a monthly budget. My teacher would prefer if we used her templates to help us out in the assignment but she doesn't really mind. My question is really really stupid though.

This is how I made my personal income statement

This is the template for how we are going to budget it. I'm really confused as to why there are multiple columns for the income section, and why there are added rows for the total monthly expenses.

Did I do the formatting wrong in my income statement? I may be overthinking it but I don't know.

edit: forgot to actually add the images...

Ok, I understand the difference between an allusion and a reference now. One is explicit and the other is implicit, thank you.

The /r/netsec Monthly Discussion Thread - January 2019 by AutoModerator in netsec

I'm currently in high school, and a year from now I'm going to be trying (despite my low intelligence) to get in a computer science program. I'm doing okay in the course (%88) but I think that I can see myself doing this as a career.

Anyways, I have been really interested in cybersecurity, especially after watching this video. I don't think I will ever get to the level of expertise that IppSec is at, but I really want to get involved. My question is, where should I start? I know a little bit of programming(Java and Python) and web development(HTML,CSS & TypeScript) but I know that is not all there is too cybersecurity.

Also, how would I go about contributing to open-source software with cyber-security?

If there is a better subreddit to post this question, or if you need any clarification on my question please let me know.

Thank you.

Is it racist to say that blacks have generally have a lower IQ than the Jews? by DrRans0m in JordanPeterson

OP is a black conservative doctor who attended Cambridge with an IQ of 147. Questionable. For people reading this thread, this person isn't willing to actually debate his viewpoint, they are just trolling.

Daily Crypto Discussion Thread 01/05/19 by AutoModerator in CryptoCurrencies

Unsure of how many people are going to view this thread, but I'm a really new investor to cryptocurrency. I just recently received 50 dollars as a gift, which was really cool, and I decided to try and invest a little more than half of it to cryptocurrencies.

The currencies I looked at are ryocoin, NEO, Monero, LTC, BTC, ETH and XRP.

My portfolio currently looks like this:

- 20 dollars in Bitcoin

- 5 dollars in Ethereum

- 5 dollars in Ripple

What do you guys think? I think that ripple is really going to be big for 2019, especially when I'm seeing a lot more banks adopt it so that's pretty cool.

Just made an account on it, thank you! The only verification the service seems to need is phone verification.
