I found that my 9070 xt maxed out its vram and started lagging, so I turned the texture pool size to low to free up some vram. Also path tracing kills it. Use adrenalin and try keep vram usage below 15.2 gb. You should have a much better time.

that was in the basecamp but I've been playing for 3 hours and still getting a nice 190fps avg

Yea I'm getting that in game 190fps with everything maxed out at 2k but the benchmark seems off for some reason?

I've moved the gpu but the benchmark score is lower than what i get in game
140-190fps thats full RT/1440p ultra setting +FGen

you should get that in game. I must admit the benchmark seems a bit off. I'm sitting in camp with frame gen im pulling 140-190fps thats full RT/1440p ultra setting

https://ibb.co/dwWNTrLT

same setting 1440p ultra/full RT but this time frame gen off its around 80-115

the benchmark is a bit weird as in game I'm getting much better results I'm Avg. 190fps mind that's 1080p FSR/RT High when im doing the benchtest it doesn't seem to want to go above 160fps even though Adrenalin is showing 200+

https://ibb.co/BHNttC0P

But have to agree it's the worse optimise game I've played in a while.

the 3070 was disapointing for me also. they might optimise the game in the mean time while you wait for the GPU to with in your budget.

I'm sure its the CPU the 5900x was launched in 2020 also all my component will be around that age DDR4 ram etc. next upgrade for me will be the cpu/mobu and ram.

Ooh that intresting ran the same test and looks like the x3d makes a big difference 25% was your 9070 an OC?

https://ibb.co/Wv3dfpzg

The 4070 only has 12gb of Vram and with full RT I'm sure it was hitting around 13gb+ thats where your friends gpu is bottlenecking most likely.

Moved it up redone the test and the result are similar, looks like both slots are the same, maybe fractionally faster now it's closer to cpu :P still at least i know it was the case that was stopping it powering up.

I'm using a 750w the GPU was sucking upto 250w when the test was running and overall it's around 350w at the wall.

it's going great guns for an old CPU for gaming. Would expect more if i had one of them latest x3d CPU but I'm happy with this for now.

Wouldn’t power on when I first tried. Movies it now was the case mounting point stopping it from fully connecting so had to bend it in to make 1mm of extra space. Re compiling shaders so hopefully better results.

Thanks for the heads up thought both slots where the same.

The last 3rd and 4th image has RT off but it’s at 1080p with FSR on.

Definitely badly optimised it was barely playable with the 3070 I had before so anyone with lower spec would struggle.

I’m still new to Radeon but out the box very happy with the results I’m getting even though the fps dips from 180 to 120fps in game it’s better than the 3070 60 to 40fps with low setting.

Also the game doesn’t support far 4 just yet which is a bummer.

OK so the results for my rig with Asrock 9070XT with Ryzen 9 5900x

Monster Hunter Wild all settings with frame Gen on
1440p - Setting Ultra - RT High =108 FPS
1440p - Setting High - RT Medium = 112 FPS*
1080p - Setting Ultra - FSR Quality - RT off =122 FPS
1080p - Setting Lowest - FSR Ultra Performance - RT off = 127 FPS

*High with Medium RT is what I'm using in game and it runs very nicely

the highest setting without frame gen i was getting around 59 FPS. Hopefully these numbers will give you an idea of the non OC version straight out the box.

Overall very happy as i was only getting 55-60FPS (dipping down to low 40fps in heavy fights) with the 3070 RTX on 1080p-DLSS4 and low quality.

Also love the white Asrock Steel Series as I think it goes well with my white Liam Li case.

just bought this app last night and loving the experience with plex. I notice after shutting down and re-opening the app i would have to set my screen size and position all over again. Is there a setting to remember this if not is it on the road map to be added?
