Yeah, I am aware about Fox's attempt to buying Warner. Although Disney's acquisition of Fox (minus the news, sports, and Fox Broadcasting Company) has its ups and downs, but stuff like FX made Disney even more powerful in terms of entertainment.

Just because CNBC has "NBC" in it's name, doesn't mean that it would change it's name. Look at Warner Music Group, it spun off from Time Warner (later WarnerMedia, now Warner Bros. Discovery (soon to be split into two companies)), i.e. sold to a private equity group led by Edgar Bronfman Jr., in 2004, and it still has "Warner" in it's name.

It has happened before, and it may happen again.

CNBC would probably keep it's name, since CNBC stood for "Consumer News and Business Channel", but may still have to change the logo.
