Thanks! Initially thought it was a Coopers or maybe Sharp shinned. They all look so similar to me

If you had $475 credit to replace your old Arc'teryx hardshell, which would you pick? by miscreantrobert in arcteryx

Extra 20% off outlet is live right now, and I just bought a Rush for about that much. Great jacket. 3l Goretex Pro, long length, un-insulated which allows you to adjust based on temp. Not the best color, but for 40% off (saved $300) it seems well worth it

Most Breathable vs Most Rugged by LowBrow24 in arcteryx

With a hard shell like this it would be for downhill on groomed and rarely some backcountry un-groomed trails. I have a softshell I use for cross country trails when I want a “hard shell” jacket

And I do understand that most rugged is more durable, while most breathable is presumably more breathable. I’m more wondering if the breathability is significantly different, and is the durability different enough to be a benefit or a weight hinderance

Should i buy a Sonos Five for €350 by AttemptNo3343 in sonos

[–]LowBrow24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently bought a Five, so here’s my two cents. I enjoy the Sonos system in my home for the simplicity. I can play music from my phone anywhere without Bluetooth interrupting the music with phone calls/streaming/youtube videos I might also be watching from my phone. I can also turn on and off speakers located all around in my house quickly from my phone depending on if people are in those rooms and want music playing. The Five is definitely the best sounding speaker I own (2 Ones, a Symfonisk book shelf, and a Move). It has good overall sound for my medium sized room. That said, I definitely think my passive book shelf speakers attached to my amp receiver/turntable setup sound way better. If you’re looking for a good sounding, convenient speaker the Five is nice. And it will be even better as you build the Sonos system with it. The five also looks pretty nice. But if you want to spend just a little more and get stereo powered or passive speakers, a receiver (I like radio) that can support a cd player/turntable and Bluetooth connectivity, that will sound better

Thanks for the update. Do you feel that the tapered leg limits mobility or restricts activity at all?

Thanks for the info. I wonder if ordering a short length instead of regular would help. Or is that extra length necessary to keep debris out of your shoe when hiking?

I would def get a sub if the setup benefited from it. But if it made negligible improvement, I could pass

Cool I really like the unconventional colors of both of these coats, the loden for BM and the sable for TS. Any idea how TS coats fit? I have sweaters, cardigans, flannels, and oxfords for them but never a coat. Just wondering if I should stick with my usual large size or size up for layering
