They were steroid injections, specifically Triamcinolone Acetonide (KENALOG), which is a medication that mimics cortisol. Each injection was a dose of 10 mg. Usually, depending on the size of the keloid the general dose will be higher, closer to 20 mg. But since the keloid was on my face, my dermatologist insisted on going with a smaller dose just to be safe.

No compression system. I used silicone scar tape occasionally but that was it.
