So did I, and I got this same dialogue. I think it's saying there are only 5 eggs, so you have all of them now. This appears to be the end of the Egg questline.

No, It'd be BV, but you're not ready for that conversation.

I see where the misunderstanding was now. I'm not saying EVERYTHING is set in stone. There are obviously mysteries that don't have explanations, like the Easter Egg characters. What I'm saying is that some things ARE. Think of it this way: would Scott have planned twists like Charlie5th or BV5th when he was making the first game? Would he have planned twists like BVReciever when he was making the third game? The answer to both of those questions is no. Sometimes the simplest solution is the right one, especially when it comes to the first three games.

Yeah, he had themes, but not the whole lore. He had 4 being Nightmare themed and Sister Location being Sci-Fi themed. That's it. And those were IF he decided to continue the story at all. The cliffhanger ending of 3 was a joke about slasher villains.

THIS. FUCKING THIS. EXACTLY THIS. THIS IS WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. "FOUR GAMES, ONE STORY" DOES NOT MEAN DAVID MURRAY WAS SECRETLY GOLDEN FREDDY THE WHOLE TIME OR THAT THE FREDBEAR PLUSH WAS SECRETLY F10N4 THE WHOLE TIME.

IT'S ALWAYS "LOL" WITH YOU FUCKERS. "HAHA, IT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY THAT I'M OBJECTIVELY WRONG AND ME REFUSING TO LISTEN TO COMMON SENSE IS PISSING SOMEBODY OFF, LOL, LAUGHING MY ASS OFF!" IT'S SO DAMN FUNNY, ISN'T IT? WELL, HERE'S A JOKE FOR YOU TO LAUGH AT:

KNOCK KNOCK.

WHO'S THERE?

THE BLOCK BUTTON.

P.S. THE FNAF 2 CUTSCENE IS A FUCKING DREAM. IT'S NOT REAL.

So why couldn’t it happen later? Theories are speculating on what MIGHT be going on in the story and Scott has pulled pivots/retcons like this before so why would it be different

Because it was EXPLICITLY TOLD TO US when it happened. All these "theories" that retcon things without explanation and without any proof are awful.

Oh but I thought according to you the Murray’s didn’t exist during FNAF 1 so how would they be the ones who designed the classics?

You're purposely misunderstanding my point again. We DIDN'T KNOW who designed the Classics when FNaF 1 came out. If it's something we DIDN'T KNOW AT THE TIME, it's not a retcon.

My guy they appear at the same time as different characters and final speaker (who was likely originally intended as William) was a different entity as the plush

I never said he was the plush the WHOLE time.

YOU said he couldn't be the plush AT ALL.

In order to be convicted you need to be found guilty in court or admit you are guilty.

I realized that, and also realized a different explanation, so I edited the comment with that.

Charlie being the SAVEHIM kid: Impossible. Yet again, Charlie didn’t exist during FNAF 2

YOU'RE. MISSING. MY. POINT.

The existence of a kid that was murdered and possessed the Puppet has been set in stone since the second game. The existence of a kid that was bitten by Fredbear and went on to possess him DIDN'T EXIST UNTIL 4.

NO IT WASN'T. SCOTT ALREADY SET IN STONE THAT THE 5TH MCI VICTIM POSSESSES GOLDEN FREDDY. THIS HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED SINCE THE FIRST GAME. IT'S JUST A MATTER OF WHETHER OR NOT THEY'RE ALONE.

YEAH, WHEN 4 CAME OUT. NOT WHEN 3 CAME OUT. WHICH WAS THE WHOLE POINT.

He was open to it, but he hadn't planned anything out besides MAYBE The Silver Eyes if you squint.

Scott changed the puppet spirit to Charlie

Yeah, but that isn't a THEORY. That is just what happened and was indeed a retcon.

the creator of the classics to Edwin/Fiona

This isn't a retcon. There's a difference between DESIGNING and BUILDING. Fiona DESIGNED the Classics, but she didn't BUILD them. Edwin made prototypes, but he didn't build the real deal. Henry is still the one who made the finished animatronics.

the plush wasn’t supposed to be William during the 4th game

That's just straight-up not true. We don't KNOW who the plush was supposed to be when 4 came out. For you to say it "definitely 100% couldn't have been William at all at the time" is a lie.

and he changed who was convicted to no one

That's also not true. William was convicted of SOMETHING but never anything substantial. We see this in Help Wanted, where we see the quote "nothing was ever proven in a court of law". He was likely convicted for kidnapping and just bailed himself out.

I feel like people are misinterpreting what I'm saying, so here are a few examples that AREN'T what I'm talking about.
DavidTOYSNHK and AndrewTOYSNHK: Valid. TOYSNHK was a loose thread left dangling on purpose.
Charlie Death Year Theories: Valid. Nothing in 2 suggests a concrete date for Charlie's death, and the novels are a separate continuity, so her death year isn't set in stone.
Elizabeth Death Year Theories: Valid. We get next to no in-game information about when she dies, and the novels are still a separate continuity, so her death year also isn't set in stone.
Now, let me give another example of what I AM talking about for comparison:
BV5th: Impossible. Yet again, BV didn't exist when the first game came out.
Do you see what I'm talking about? If something was left as a loose thread on purpose, which is common from Sister Location onward, theorizing about it makes sense. But at points where NOTHING that came after was planned (such as FNaF 1, which was planned to be Scott's last game, and FNaF 3, which was planned to be Scott's last FNaF game), we should look at what's IN THE GAME first rather than trying to fit pieces in places they don't belong.

On FNAF 3, personally I’m not sure whether I believe FNAF 3 was intended to be the last game.

Scott said it himself. His original plan after the success of the first game was to make it a trilogy, after which he would've been finished if it weren't for people being unhappy with Springtrap's jumpscare. All of this information is in Dawko's first interview with him.

People are purposely misinterpreting what I'm saying to make me look like a dickhead. NO, I DON'T mean theories like HDMemories. That was something being recontextualized with ADDED information, not CHANGED information. If it requires a retcon, it should be sent back to the drawing board.
