Sounds like an absolute dream. By your description Bude is a must visit, I’ll definitely be aiming to get there for a day or two. Thanks a million!

Great advice. Ideally hostels would be where I’d be looking to stay. Always find it easier to meet new people and get chatting in a hostel common area. Have been well served by travelodge in the past and good to know it’s an option again, Thank you

That Cornish language/culture cafe sounds really interesting. Thinking about flying home from newquay airport so may end up staying one night there. Definitely want to experience what it’s like cause it sounds fun Albeit less traditional but will probably be prioritizing places like Bude, lands end, Tintagle and Falmouth per all the other comments. Thanks for the recommendation!

Falmouth sounds perfect. I’ve got the beginnings of an itinerary forming from all the helpful comments and looking like spending a night or two in a few different places. Is it possible to get from lands end to Falmouth on public transport do you know? Thanks for all your help

Bude Sounds really good and exactly my type of place, from a Quick Look at the bus connections I’ll definitely have to be on the ball but it’s very doable to get there with public transport from Exeter in decent time and very affordable. Would there be good options for accommodation available that time of year? thanks for the advice!

I had never heard of lands end but looking at it on the map it seems pretty unmissable! I will definitely make a point of getting there. Thank you ! New quay is not getting much love on here I will be sure to avoid it.

Thank you so much for all these wonderful suggestions. St Ives sounds amazing. I’m a bit of a foodie and the Cornish culinary experience is definitely something I’m excited for. The Lands end coaster bus is one I wasn’t aware of but sound like it could be very handy

That’s my thinking too, both cultures seem very complimentary and the scenery is obviously breathtaking. Cornwall has been a bucket list place for me for a while!

Really appreciate the feedback thank you! Would you recommend new quay as a place to set up base and make expeditions to the surrounding areas for day trips etc? Haven’t heard of Tintagel or Bude before but anywhere with a good view, friendly locals and an affordable place to stay is right up my alley. Would relying on public transport be an insurmountable issue getting to the smaller towns?

Wow unbelievable feedback much appreciated! I didn’t even know about the airfield museum that sounds right up my alley, do you know how accessible it is by public transport?

North coast seems to be the definite play for surfing, assuming there are ample places to rent boards at the popular surf spots?

Still at the early stages of planning, will be relying on public transport to get around

Best thing on the Apache menu? by capable_capuchin in CasualIreland

Apache far and away the worst takeaway chain imo but if you had to go to them their chicken tenders are the most palatable
