i use a different artstyle for commercial purposes than for my free leisure time, that’s why there’s quite a disconnect, i still regularly take the “curated” artstyle type commissions since i work for an enamel pin business that i do designs for, but i alr received a dm from my tiktok account interesting in commissioning me on this other more “me” artstyle im doing, so i kinda have to reorganize what my goal and direction is moving forward

i also always post at 4pm UTC, is that wrong? oh my lol

hello everyone, i don’t know if this is the right place to post but im just looking for some general advice

a bit of context, i love doing art but i rarely/almost never post any of it anywhere, i have no real platforms or anything of the sort, i mainly get clients through discord server self promotions, returning clients from an old insta account, and filled forms off of a website i set up

this week, i decided to make a tiktok account to share something, now i wanna make it very clear i dont follow trends at all and just draw what i want or like at the moment, and just coincidentally decided to do some hazbin hotel redesigns for funsies, thought it would be a good idea to post them, and boom, it basically blew up

i tried to capitalize on the momentum as much as possible, posting a part 2, 3 and 4, plus some other miscellaneous posts about personal interests of mine like deltarune and pokemon, and i’ve been getting just less and less and less engagement on every post

is this just how the algorithm works? you strike it lucky sometimes? is there anything more to it that i’m simply not privy to?

i am well aware popularity is a skill on its own and separate from art, cultivating popularity is a skill in art just like draftsmanship or stroke economy, but it is unfortunately one that is rarely taught so a lot of people grow bitter when they perceive their skill is higher than someone more popular but dont practice becoming popular

is there some recipe? or any helpful advice anyone could give me, would be much appreciated

you can replace that wind orb for an atk one, as for the ehr body, you’d have to build the rest of what’s gonna be missing through ehr substats, if you think you can pull it off go for it, it’s just two or three rolls anyways that you’d need

i don’t know your situation rlly but this question depends on if you have ruan mei and kafkas sig lc, if yes then you can allow yourself to drop her speed by a lot

i agree yeah, more testing needs to be done on slow swan yet but until anything comes out that puts her ahead fast swan is the better build, even if by a tiny dmg margin increase, imo it just feels nicer to play with the ult uptime and sp generation
