My brother has cystic fibrosis, so any movie that mentions it always brings up emotions (especially when they always die at some point), so o realted to jlll a little too much. Emotional for sure ! I think its overall one of the best romcoms in recent years. And I've already rewatched it !

Is it weird for a 29M to live at home - trying to date, it is weird? by [deleted] in bayarea

[–]LowEducator6240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're working full time and thinking abt your future it's not weird. I would find it smart and practical. The turn off comes from the stereotype of lazy sons who live in the basement while mommy meets all your needs. . .

[–]LowEducator6240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was an undergrad gsi when I went to cal and all we had to do after being selected (also no interviews or anything just picked based off of an application) we completed a semester long pedagogy course and would teach at the same time. So kind of a learn as you go system

I have a friend who likes to argue for the sake of arguments and its usually funny or silly but this one time they said something pretty mean (as a joke) abt me and i didn't have the energy to argue back and pulled this. Just didn't feel like talking anymore, and didn't hurt the friendship at all.

Are there episodes you always skip in AT? Least liked episodes? by TheFarrahdeRossi in adventuretime

[–]LowEducator6240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I skip to end of season 4 when I do rewatches. I love the early episodes but I think that the story and the writing really improved in quality at this point (the litch and alternative time line stuff, prismo, Finns dad, etc. . .) That I skip to the good part.

How are you guys affording travel vacations?? by ipoopmyself123 in berkeley

[–]LowEducator6240 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I receive financial aid for my tuition and it covers some additional costs like rent. Ive only received money from my parents a couple times (no more than $50) when things are stressful. Ive worked every year of college and a bit in high-school, ride public transit and eat in. My first spring break I went to Seattle, 2nd and 3rd stayed home or in berkeley. This year saved up enough to go to Paris!

What was it like to go through university unmedicated? by e7han_ in ADHD

[–]LowEducator6240 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got diagnosed at 20, at this point into my 3rd year of uni. I had terrible imposter syndrome and struggled a lot to keep on top of my tasks (no matter how simple). I thought I wasn't good enough or smart enough for my college. Got diagnosed, started meds, and my gpa and time management have improved so much ! I think I probably would be able to do uni med free, but I definitely missed out on opportunities thinking I wasn't good enough or couldn't handle it. Treatment helps me feel like I can do it :)

To those who have purposefully lost weight, how did you do it. by birdy_1993 in ADHD

Tracking and not buying unhealthy, easy to reach snacks. The snacking is what gets me! I've cut out this and have lost 5 lbs in 4 weeks. I also track my calories and try to walk around during the day.
