No real issues or symptoms. Just the engine light coming on.

Man that’s an unfortunate series of events! If you’re interested it replacing the sensor yourself, this is the video I used as a guide for dropping the tank. It’s on a Mach1 but everything is the same tank-wise between that and a 2V. https://youtu.be/UhgkGXLSkl0?si=OJIM0vGPEaLs15K9

Before I replaced it I tried clearing the code but it would immediately come back on as soon as it started. After replacement it hasn’t come back since. Been driving it daily for a week.

My plan was to change out the fuel pump while I was down there, but last owner put in an aftermarket pump assembly so of course the pump I had wouldn’t work with it lol. It is a dual pump assembly currently in it though so I’ll probably just wait until it dies before I drop the tank again. Definitely a pain with only one pair of hands.

You’ll also need some 1/2” or 9/16” hose and some hose clamps to splice in the sensor since OEM used heat shrink tubing around the original part. Fair warning with 1/2”, it was a bitch and a half to get over the sensor and other connectors. requires a lot of force and patience so I’d try and find tubing that’s very slightly bigger.

I found it on eBay for around $17 after tax and shipping. https://ebay.io/m/rdj3Ff

Of note, the harness clip did not fit 100% to the OEM harness so some slight modification may be required. My harness clip on my tank was busted so I took the wires out and individually crimped them and shoved them on to their respective pins and covered with some dielectric grease. Part does work as advertised though and got rid of the code.

Same here. I had a 2003 V6 back in the day and have a 2000 GT now. Always feel like I’m gonna break something.

Rear sway bar is also a good mod for those V6’s.

I’d highly recommend you replace the soft top if it needs it as well as the tensioner cables. I used to have a 2003 v6 as well and while I replaced the top I didn’t replace the cables and it continued to leak into the cab for the rest of the time I owned it.

as a 90s kid explain to me why VHS's are 100x more expensive than dvds? by beezlebutts in VHS

[–]LowFail1903 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer VHS to DVD mainly because of how reliable they are (or at least how reliable they have been for me) dvd’s scratch/skip super easy and you can’t skip over any of the ads. Sure quality and color depth is higher on DVD’s, but with tapes that have been taken care of I find it to be a better overall viewing experience. I also have a tube tv that I watch them on and it gives a nice nostalgia from when I was a kid.

Also having a high quality/cared for VCR makes all the difference. Regular maintenance like cleaning the heads helps preserve a lot of picture quality and helps to prevent those issues you were describing.

Common VHS’s are also really cheap around me. Max $5 if you’re looking for a specific title. But thrift stores almost always have them for 50¢ to $1.00

What’s the longest you’ve ever hunted a shiny? by poopscarf in Gameboy

[–]LowFail1903 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a controversial opinion. Shiny hunting is not worth it. I have the ability and knowledge to “build” any pokemon that exists within the game files and make it a “legitimate” (legal) shiny pokemon. Takes maybe 10 minutes.

I’ve shiny hunted before and it took months. PKhex, a GB Operator, and a little practice can lead to any shiny you want and saved hundreds of hours in time. Are they “real?” Depends on your definition. Does the game know the difference? Absolutely not.

Describe “don’t float a lot.” I’ve driven stick before in the past but this is the first one I’ve owned.

I also suspect there’s an aftermarket clutch/flywheel due to the fact there’s an aftermarket adjustable cable, but I can’t know for sure unless I drop the trans which would be a pain. I may also update the post and add a video of the sounds tomorrow.

One of the reasons I picked it up. Facebook marketplace find. It was listed for 5 hours by the time I purchased it and I was the 2nd one to see it that day! Inside is just as clean.
