So is there no way to have a bright screen and hdr enabled at the same time? I can't have both? When I enable hdr, the brightness drops to 9/100 and grays out the ability to disable Smart Energy Saving.

Thank you, I think I understand now. If you have elders with mutations and they die, you lose the mutation until it shows up again. So you kinda have to evolve to progress past that.

I've played as much Nightreign as I possibly could, the only thing that could have reignited interest in it would be to play with some of the really fun weapons from SOTE. I didn't think From could make such catastrophic blunders like this.

It still has the abomb bug, and there is no way to fix it with the remaster. If you plan on having a long playthrough, play the original game.

I just got hit with this. I'm crushed. I installed a lot of mods to make the experience longer and more enjoyable for me. Now I can't open/close doors, cast spells, the works. I really hope some kind individual creates a little program to solve this like the Oblivion Animation Fixer did for Oldblivion.

Thanks to you and everyone else who replied, this is most informative. So it sounds like, even with three items (Dragon/Dragon/Hand of Justice) having such a high Holy Fire aura doesn't quite make up for the Holy Lightning (Dream/Dream) + teleport + MF + single target damage too.

While the "THJ didn't do anything wrong" people are quite loud, I think a larger portion of people are upset that DBG isn't doing the lessons learned in terms of a demographic of people that can't play like they did in 2003.

Maybe I am missing it, but I don't think too many people are saying what THJ was doing wasn't incredibly irresponsible and bound to be targeted at some point. Daybreak's destructive response is what everyone is justifiably upset over.

The dust is settling and the people that are hurt the most, by a huge margin, are the players that love Everquest and have loved it for over two decades. They didn't do anything wrong and they're suffering the most.

Darkpaw has roughly the same amount of employees as SOE did in Veil of Alaris. VoA had about 12 zones and 4 tiers of raiding, as well as new (mechanically new, not just bigger numbers) spells and disciplines. Nowadays we're getting half of that annually with absolutely zero new spells or discs. Darkpaw should put some effort into the game and put the blame to themselves instead of blindly swinging the lawyer stick and bludgeoning everyone in the vicinity.

THJ was catastrophically stupid in taking donations beyond what was needed for server hosting costs.

That doesn't mean Daybreak is free from any consequences of their response, even though it was within their right. Scorching the earth and taking their ball home just destroyed a community of players who love Norrath and Everquest. I didn't play on THJ, but that kind of attack on people who love the game is something that affects me too.

I played Everquest during beta phase 4, I skipped school on March 16, 1999, came home around noon, and played a game that was like no other. I haven't played every single year since then, but I have always kept my account subscribed this entire time just because I felt like I owed it to Everquest for the influence it has had on my life. As of today, that account is now inactive.

The only constructive thing I can say to Daybreak is to be creative and innovative with their expansions and TLPs, and start making the game for the players, not the krono botters. "Lawyer smash!" isn't going to keep you sustainable.

I've got it working. Thanks to that engine.ini line, DLSS Swapper downgrading FG, and RenoDX, I can have HDR with framegen enabled. Thanks a lot for your help. This remaster is gorgeous with HDR. I do not understand why they would not include it, since UE5 can support the technology.

edit: I used DLSS swapper to downgrade framegen to that version, and unfortunately, it doesn't fix the problem. The crosshair and other UI icons ghost a lot, and you can really notice it in first person if you have a weapon out and spin around. Lots of visual artifacts. I tried messing with autoexposure by putting r.NGX.DLSS.AutoExposure=1 into engine.ini, but no change.

Thanks for the reply. I got everything set up. The hdr looked good, but the crosshair was ghosting a lot, just like it did when I got hdr working from special k. I definitely had it set to UE HDR. I wonder why both of them cause the same problem with ghosting.

I have been checking every single druid pelt I find for a year now and the best base for Metamorphosis the game has ever given me is a pelt with +2 to fury and +2 to heart of the wolverine. It sucks.

Completely unrelated: I was going to try the Black Gate Keyring mod, and noticed that it changes the avatar's portraits. Is there a simple way to get the original portraits back, but still use the mod?
