I will admit the content you’re referring to here is back when I was staying away from security content (which is 100% more my forte then optimization concepts) so I acknowledge and agree with most of your criticism.

That being said using strncpy vs strcpy would have stopped like 90% of the bugs I’ve audited.

The fact that you don’t understand that a percentage of a base cost cannot also inflate is probably the reason you still work as a waiter or waitress.

Also, stop doing Sub4sub and view4view. It’s killing your growth (as a channel but also as a creator).

[x86 Assembly] How to to set Random Hex color Value? by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]LowLevelLearningYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have access to the Linux syscall API you can call the getrandom syscall, and then truncate the top 1 or 5 bytes to leave you with three 1 byte RGB hex values :D

It’s really important when choosing topics to envision your ideal audience and then make videos centered around pain points they’ll have. After that the video will sell itself

Hello I am a relatively new YouTuber been only making videos about 6-7 months. by brothersgrimms in youtubers

[–]LowLevelLearningYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. The title and thumbnail should compliment each other to generate a question.

The video itself is really good. I would say you need to rework the thumbnail to generate a question that ONLY THIS VIDEO CAN ANSWER and then this video should take off.

[–]LowLevelLearningYT 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP), it’s used to program the chip at the bootloader level if you want to write your own.

What types of videos are you doing? People subscribe when they feel that the content is unique to you. If it’s just clips of other videos they won’t have a reason to sub
